Main Role and Responsibilities

Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client’s requirement. Incumbent must influence across services without formal authority and manage the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of electrical services such as sub-station, small power, lighting, security system, data cabling, public address system etc.
• Presentation of design concept report to client.
• Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme.
• Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation.
• Co-ordination of M&E services within the office.
• Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs.
• Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim.
• Liaise with main contractor, architect, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project.
• Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports.
• Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following
• Site Assessment and Inspection
• Design development and co-ordination
• Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.
• Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.

Prerequisites

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in design in an engineering consultancy firm for degree holder. Candidates with professional engineer registration would be considered for senior position.
• Experience in handling full cycle of building service projects and proven track record with strong background in Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Design.
• Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission process.
• Confident and have strong presentation & communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team setting

• Conduct classroom teaching in Electrical/Computer Engineering subjects
• Design and implement Electrical/Computer Engineering laboratory experiments and projects in hardware and/or software domains
• Provide prompt consultation to students
• Assist in grading students’ work
• Assist in course-related logistics for the lecturers
• Assist in Department’s outreach efforts

Qualifications

• Good B.Eng./M.Sc./M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering from a reputable university.
• Strong communication skills in the English language
• Passionate in teaching electrical/computer engineering concepts and skills to the students.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages, especially Python, Java, C.
• Knowledge in software engineering, data structures & algorithms, computer organization, artificial intelligence & machine learning is a plus.

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial), Others or equivalent.

Required language(s): Preferably English and Mandarin spoken.

At least 6 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably specialist in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.

Must have knowledge in Instruments and Electrical System for Process Control Environment

Knowledge and understanding of SCADA, DCS System, PLC, Instrumentation, Field Devices.

Job Description:

• Perform welding repair and assembly of aircraft components with gas tungsten arc welding/ tungsten inert gas processes
• Use measuring instruments such as gauge blocks, height gauges, dial indicators and callipers to examine components
• Perform various jobs such as cutting, grinding, sheet metal and assembly works with hand or power tools which include portable riveting guns, squeezers, abrasive tools and torque wrenches
• Meet repair production schedule and delivery requirements
• Suggest new tooling design and modification to existing tooling when required
• Participate in cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects/ events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• NITEC or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in welding aircraft alloy material or in tungsten inert gas/ gas tungsten arc welding. On the job training will be provided for candidates who does not possess relevant working experience.
• Able to read and follow Repair/OEM specifications
• Able to perform rotating shift work, and support overtime, if required
• Open to cross-training and multi-tasking

Responsibilties:

• Responsible for set up and operate CNC & NC Machine according to production schedule and meet all specification requirement
• Perform simple trouble shooting, basic daily machine maintenance and maintaining 6S housekeeping
• Read, interpret & execute various machining works using CNC and NC vertical/ horizontal lathe involving milling, turning and grinding per the engine manual requirements
• Meet tight and demanding repair production schedule & delivery requirements
• Suggest new tooling design & modification to existing tooling when required
• Participate in cost control initiatives & continuous improvement projects/ events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirement:

• Minimum NITEC or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in aviation repair involving CNC & conventional machining (milling, turning and grinding)
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Proactive to cross-training and multi-tasking
