The Designer with experience in designing and fabrication drawing of Alum and Glass facade, doors & window, structure support. Candidates are expected fully understand and prepares concept, details, fabrication design documents throughout the project pre & post-construction.

• Develop aluminium and glass facade, doors & windows concepts according to Architect's / Facade Consultant's contract drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with project Architect/Consultant and site personnel to produce and execute the works for assigned projects.
• Plan, Implement and monitor design development, shop-drawings and fabrication drawings production schedules.
• Ensure product design development costs within budget constraints Qualities.
• Have relevant experience in Facade engineering especially in Alum & glazing facade, Alum Doors & Window and Steel support.
• Ability to evaluate façade design and propose potential value engineering and cost savings.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements :

The following skills and experiences are required :

• Understanding of aluminum and glass facade systems is a MUST.
• Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or relevant fields
• 5 years of experience in architectural works such as façade design, cladding, curtain walling & glazing works.
• Proficient in usage of Computer-Aided Software programs (For example, AutoCad, MS Office & Revit).
• Understanding of Singapore Design practices and Relevant Codes.
• Good design and sketching skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
• Able to work independantly.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:
•Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects;
•Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs;

Quantity Take-off
•Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations;
•Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments;

Budgeting and Cost-control
•Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle;
•Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures;

Tendering and Procurement
•Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process;
•Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements;

Contract Administration
•Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims;
•Monitor contractual compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project;

Value Engineering
•Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality;
•Work closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations;

Risk Management
•Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues;
•Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success;

Cost Reporting
•Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status;
•Provide analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data;

Collaboration
•Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders;
•Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project;

Regulatory Compliance
•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction;
•Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices;

Ad-Hoc
•Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
•Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.

• Minimum 5 years of related working experiences in industrial, commercial or data-centre projects.

• Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical.

• Organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible.

• Good communication and facilitation skills.

• Ability to work well in a team, independently and demonstrate initiative and commitment.

Proposal and designing of innovative automation system machine for factories. • Data collection of initial machine test run to meet specification and produce quality products. • Communicate & coordinate closely with vendors and project team from machine concept design till implementation. • Support in machine manual standardization pertaining to maintenance and safety. • Support factories on new/transfer equipment/jigs/tools, improvement, modification, troubleshooting and overhaul machines to meet OEE goals. • Support and train BATAM local technician within department and Factories. Job Requirements: • Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering. • Minimum 1 years’ experience in factory automation machine design. • Experience in semiconductor process will be an added advantage. • Proficient in 3D CAD design. (Preferrable Autodesk Inventor) • Able to design machine/jig for factory automation. • Able to work independently and self-driven. Provide technical support and assist Manager in project planning and coordination of all site activities.
