Our client is a multinational company in the Manufacuting industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their Engineer team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East – easily accessible.

The Engineering Manager's responsibles are:

• Supervise a team of Project Managers / Engineers when new projects are introduced into the company
• Liaise with automation projects to improve production efficiency and reduce manual labour
• Corporate with Management and relevant department to evaluate project specification
• Analyse projects in terms of feasibility, risk and challenges
• Handle and supervise automation projects to improve productivity
• Handle and plan for Project expenses to ensure costs are within set budget
• Develop and execute Programs to build and develop Engineering strength
• Liaise with training to engineering department and production staffs in relevant topics that can enhance their capabilities and knowledge

Requirement

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Medical Devices industry
• Minimum Degree in any discipline
• Familiar with technology for plant development
• Knowledge in Automation design and concept

Job Responsibilities:

• To be responsible managing and implementing multiple projects with quality, within scope and to ensure deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer’s requirements
• Work closely with Business Development/ Sales Team for tender/quotation
• Providing overall leadership for the project while maintaining a focus on achieving targets efficiently
• Manage project activities to ensure timely delivery, including identification of critical path, monitoring and driving completion of interdependent activities and adjustment to project schedules to achieve overall completion deadline
• Escalate and discuss project overrun issues, scope creep, integration issues, resource requirements with clients and/or Management
• Manage day-to-day client relationship, translate customer contract into a comprehensive project plan and manage end to end delivery that includes performing project office tasks, co-ordination of internal resources, status reporting, billing, etc
• Actively manage project conflicts, dependencies changes to scope, cost or schedule, risks and issues, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate them with urgency, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
• Development and presentation of project plans, respond to Clients
• Liaison with the Shipyard, Classification society, Vendors & Clients
• Weekly progress reporting to Client & Management
• Manage resources including hardware, software, human resource facilities and logistics required for project so as to ensure completion within budget
• Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations
• Provide the project team with accurate information about business needs and priorities as well as details about existing business systems
• Delegate tasks effectively by providing clear and specific instructions and goals
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Diploma/Degree in Marine / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in ship design / shipbuilding industry
