Job Scope for Electrical Technician

Position Overview:

An Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment in various settings. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring diagrams, safety protocols, and technical troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical wiring & lighting
• Knowledge to troubleshoot, circuit breakers, fuses, and electrical panels.
• Perform inspections of electrical systems and components and rectification work
• Follow strict safety procedures and protocols.
• Practise lockout/tagout procedures to safely isolate electrical power.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical technology preferred.

Job description:

• Report to Proposal manager
• Work on Quantity Surveyor related matters with minimum guidance
• Responsible for the full suite of Quantity Surveyor duties, from tender to pre-contract, post contract administration duties such as: review of contracts, quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, sourcing and selecting of subcontractors
• prepare tender documentations, cost reports and cost plans; administer tender process; evaluate tenders and submit tender recommendation reports.
• Review and prepare process of payment for subcontractor
• Prepare progress claim and variation order claim etc.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
• Preferably for Civil QS with oil & gas experiences
• Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre and post contract duties
• Good working knowledge of forms/conditions of contract
• Able to work independently and be a good team player as well.

Job Responsibilities and Authorities

• Continuously develop, implement and maintain the Company’s Quality Management System in accordance with the Authority’s standards.
• Manage office and project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, and QMS requirements.
• Coordinate on quality matters with project team, conduct regular inspection to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
• Implement preventive measure, corrective action, review and comments to ensure that all non-conformance issues are promptly investigated, corrective and preventive action are proposed and implemented.
• Maintain QAQC records and ensure all project documentation are kept in compliance with the QMS
• Prepare and establish the internal and external audit plan and conduct the audit for Singapore. (Including other regions like Malaysia and India)
• Ensure the company’s required authority certification timely renewal.
• Prepare and submit for the authority awards for the completed projects.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular meeting and management review.
• Support company development, update and maintain organizational chart regularly.

Job Specifications

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• Min 5 years of working experience in the construction industry.
