Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Engineering OR
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of directly related experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing site OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of directly related experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing site
• Able to work independently with minimal of no supervision
• Experience in managing various stakeholders expectations related to process equipment in biopharmaceutical
• Good communications skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills
• Good interpersonal and facilitation skills necessary to forge consensus among competing client interests while ensuring objectives are met
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry trends to identify potential improvement opportunities. Ability to combine technical problem-solving skills with business acumen to determine best business solution
• Working knowledge of biopharmaceutical processes such as chromatography, buffer / media tanks, viral filtration, tangential flow filtration is preferred. Process knowledge on inoculation, bioreactors, harvest, single use technologies and critical utilities will also be considered
• Experience in validation processes such as generation/execution of Installation/Operation/Performance qualification documentation
• Knowledge in Automation systems and processes such as RD’s, Delta-V, BMS, ladder logic and PLC
• Demonstrated project management skills (schedule/cost development, facilitation, collaboration, basic project management, completion and follow-up) and application of concepts
• Problem solving skills requiring the application of scientific and engineering theory and calculations and creative skills in the development of hypotheses and approach
• Flexibility to work off-hours

Responsibilities

• Assists Topsides Engineering Project Manager in managing engineering work including engineering deliverables, man-hour and schedule control, mainly in multi-disciplinary topsides design related activities and to ensure work performed on the project is in accordance with company quality, systems and safety requirements
• Understand the contract and scope of work for topsides with sub-contractor
• Prepares key project documentation as per project specification requirements
• Manages project topsides related drawings and controls technical documentation across disciplines
• Prepares schedule, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project topsides design, ensuring all activities are kept within the project budget
• Assists topsides EPM in organizing regular inter-discipline review meetings and interface checks.
• Participates in project meeting, reports on the project status and attends to basic technical queries and issues including reviewing the performance of vendors/ subcontractors in the project
• Liaises with customers, topsides design sub-contractor, vendors, consultants and cross-functional team to coordinate project plan and handles technical issues in order to meet the project schedule
• Assists topsides EPM to ensure Design Reviews conducted with appropriate attendees and manage the action register to monitor the close-out of identified action items.
• Supports topsides EPM in identifying dependencies and obtaining alignment with project stakeholders to ensure safety and quality are not sacrificed in the effort to meet the project schedule.
• Collates project documentation and database from the project for submission and retention, as required and compiles the records from current and past projects as lessons learnt
• Reviews the activities & deliverables list from each discipline, mainly the topsides design related activities & deliverables
• Lead & co-ordinate between Hull’s Team, topside lead designers from every discipline, external design house (when applicable) & client (when applicable) to define the boundary for each module and boundary between topside & hull
• Co-ordinates between discipline to utilize the shared license based-on work priority;
• Monitors & control the topsides design manhours based-on the available budget allocated by commercial team or as defined by discipline Lead Designer
• Records & follow-up all the topsides design pending issues / problems highlighted by Lead Designers from every discipline, and report to Topsides Engineering Manager
• Expedites the information required by each discipline prior to start & complete the topsides design works
• Monitor 3D model clashing issues with other discipline
• Prepares Weekly Report related to Overall topsides design Progress, Area of Concern, Pending Items, Clashes Register, Interface Register, Down Time Register, Available Resources against Planned Resources, Manhour Usage against Planned Manhour, etc & Action Plan & submit to Topsides Engineering Manager/Engineering Project Manager & GM
• Assists topsides EPM in preparing project close-out, including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports.
• Tack and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads ensuring team members follow the management of change process (MOC); ensure recorded changes are followed through.
• Proactively identify and monitor areas likely to change to reduce the “surprise” element, added costs and delays to project.
• Coordinate the interfaces with subcontractors and third party consultants and ensure all changes are captured through MOC process

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years working experience in offshore oil and gas project managing topsides design works
• Able to liaise with internal and external parties
• Able to comprehend the strategies, work methods, processes and systems in overall project execution and engineering execution of topsides design
• Highly competent interpersonal and influencing skills to tactfully and diplomatically manage ambiguity, conflict and uncertainty in a culturally diverse environment.
• High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning of an oil and gas facilities.

1. Create Production Routing with details Process Flow and Inspection Report to comply with customer specification.

This role is responsible to perform the role of a Project Manager for all site Tech Transfer (TT) projects, with the focus on all Engineering activities associated with site readiness and collaborate in a cross-functional environment to drive the TT to completion.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of all site wide readiness activities for TT, including capital equipment introduction, modification of existing facility or equipment, development of process and cleaning circuits, till handover for routine manufacturing (beyond PPQ campaign if required).
• Work with key collaborators to define packages and activities required at commencement of the TT project, including areas like Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain Warehouse.
• Develop overall site TT project plan and high level schedule to incorporate activities associated with business readiness to meet site’s MPS target dates.
• Ensure adherence to overall TT schedule.
• Ensure that the different collaborators are aligned with the overall project plan and facilitate handshakes between MSAT, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Warehouse teams for site readiness activities.
• Ensure that each package or major activity has clear ownership. Ensure each owner sets up their own project plan, task accountability, monitoring and critical issue workflows. Work with each owner to identify task dependency and deconflict activities.
• Recognize potential gaps in equipment design and collaborate with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to achieve resolutions.
• Identify resource gaps and acquire appropriate resource from resource managers.
• Identify TT workflow improvements via AAR and secure the support to implement these improvements.
• Evaluate project changes requirements and their associated impact, offer support to collaborators and sponsors for changes that may influence TT delivery.
• For project change requirements extending beyond Engineering campaign, ensure that these are collected under a Hypercare plan with committed budget, resources and timeline. Oversight these changes and activities under Hypercare until completion.
• Provide updates in site weekly TT meetings and TT IPTs.
• Ensure that end user review new equipment/facility usage for long term operational sustainability, e.g. review equipment occupancy at the desired cycle time. Evaluate options if further equipment/facility changes are needed and transfer accountability of these changes to responsible owner.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor Degree / Diploma with exposure in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in Biopharma industry, GMP environment, FDA/EMEA exposure.
• Experience working in matrix environment, establishing relationship with both internal and external customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross functional collaborators
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to be able to identify weaknesses and strengths of alternative solutions or approaches to problem-solving.
• Good technical knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and project management skills.
