Position: Fire Protection Engineer

• 5.5 Days - (Mon - Fri) 8.30am - 5.30pm ; (Sat) 8.30am - 12.30pm

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in Water Mist system and/or Foam System is added advantage

Job scope

• To monitor and supervise sub contractors’ work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, material and samples
• To liaise and work with relevant authorities, sub-contractors or clients on shop drawings, material and samples
• Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines (Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, Hose reel System, Wet/Dry riser system, Fire Hydrant System, Fire man intercom system)
• Knowledge in M&E and able to Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions
• Manage and execute project as per the schedule
• To attend meeting with contractors to address issues and update progress
• Study and reviewing of drawings, specifications for compliance
• Allocate work to supervisors and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.
• Plan and lead testing and commissioning of the fire protection systems.
• Follow up with site / authority inspections, defects rectifications of the fire protection work.
• Plan and prepare OMM, training, As-Builts drawings for handing over of completed fire protection systems to client.
• Follow up with maintenance of fire protection systems during DLP

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for RTL Coding, Integration and Synthesis and micro-architecture development phases
• Responsible for macro defining specification, testing and verification of the IP components.
• Perform RTL-level design, including micro-architectural, of the digital portions of the IP architecture
• Work closely with methodology, PD teams to implement RTL design into GDSII.
• Drive design closure thru synthesis, static-timing analysis, logical equivalency checking. Help improve flows and scripts for such tasks.
• Support post-silicon product bring-up and debug, and sign-off on test-plans and characterization reports.
• To provide timing constraints and work with PD teams to ensure RTL meets timing.
• To work with Defect Team to improve test coverage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or related studies.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in RTL coding, integration and synthesis, preferably with strong understanding of RTL verification flow and environments (e.g., OVM, hardware modeling, assertions, parameterized / configurable design).
• Strong debugging, programming and scripting skills (such as C, C++, Perl, Python, TCL and etc)
• Thorough knowledge of chip architecture with at least 1 year’ experience in design and micro-architecture development phases.
• Good understanding and working knowledge in other domains like DV and DFT, timing closure.
• Able to provide timing constraints and work with PD teams to ensure RTL meets timing.
• Advantageous if you have knowledge of SoC Design Process and wireless communications systems and standards, including LTE (FDD/TDD) and UMTS.

Role

• Perform system and network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of network & security equipment (eg. routers, firewalls, cryptography equipment), telecommunication links and Sun Solaris servers and Windows-based servers
• Configure firewall rules and monitor the intrusion detection systems
• Perform system and network upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components
• Implement network, operating system and product-specific security hardening & patches
• Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems)
• Monitor expiry and perform renewal of network system password and certificates
• Implement a schedule of system and network backups operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and conduct regular disaster recovery testing and component switchover exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment
• Provide 2nd level network support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance to established Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose & implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Qualification

• Degree in Information Technology and related discipline
• Preferably, attained CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCSA, CCSE
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, VPN, DNS
• Good to have experience/ industry certification for firewall and public cloud administration
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
• Familiar with data center operation
• Support Europe time zone 5.00pm – 2.00am and on-call support during off-hours.
