Position: IT System Architect Engineer (Infrastructure)

Working Days & Hours: 5 days | Mon-Fri: 8am to 530pm

Responsibilities:

System Architect Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and business objectives.

- Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers.
- Technical Expertise: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations to ensure that the department remains technically competitive and compliant.

- Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Leading efforts to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure the smooth operation of technical systems and processes.

- Continuous Improvement: Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical capabilities and streamline processes within the organization.

Requirement:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE) preferred.

- Experience in managing enterprise Linux (SUSE Linux) and Windows server environments in a complex IT infrastructure.

- Strong understanding of high availability and fault-tolerant system architectures, with experience in clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.

- Hands-on experience with SQL database maintenance.
- Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and firewall configuration, particularly with Palo Alto, McAfee, and Checkpoint appliances.

- Experience with storage area networks (SAN) and SAN storage solutions

- Knowledge of microsemi NTP (Network Time Protocol) for time synchronization across network devices.

- Manage a diverse range of hardware equipment, including Cisco switches, Sun Microsystems servers, HPE ProLiant DL series servers , and SAN storage solutions.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse technical team.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

• Minimum 3 years expereince in ServiceNow domain
• Developing, installing, and troubleshooting ServiceNow applications and integrations with other programs
• Training, documentation, and support for the users and stakeholders of the ServiceNow platform and HRSD application
• Experience in implementing HRSD, especially in large, global transformations.
• Be responsible for Operations of our ServiceNow Platforms, accordingly to our global operation rules / processes: This includes: Incident management, Platform Upgrades, Release Mgmt, Health checks, Security Checks, ..

• Ensure proper Platform Administration and admin requests OLA fulfillment.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues and errors within the ServiceNow platform.
• Good experience on Knowledge Base (KB), Case Management, custom form, custom workflow, and integration development
• Strong technical knowledge of all ServiceNow modules like ITSM, HRSD

Primary Objectives:

1. Responsible for the IT project management processes including schedule, liasing and managing vendors and business partners

2. Support fast growing store openings and expansion with system and network installations

3. Assist Service Desk Support team in Singapore.

Job descriptions:

· Perform project management responsibilities

· Manage IT project planning, implementation, testing and go live support for retail outlets

· Coordinate project meeting between the key user, external vendors, and Group IT

· Working with regional and local technical team to ensure the infrastructure and IT tools are implemented as according to the Group and widely accepted standards, meeting the local requirements

· Participate in other projects such as application and business projects when assigned

· May require on-call support or ad-hoc work during store operating hours and specific time during key project milestones.

· IT asset and equipment inventory management for the offices and the stores

· Responsible for the network and systems installation for the store openings and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support SPTel’s Private Cloud and Edge Cloud Platform and Service.
• Maintain SPTEL Cloud Network Infra including Layer 2 and Layer 3 Device (Nokia WBX).
• Deploy, install, provision, troubleshoot, and report for all RedHat OpenStack/Openshift, Nokia CBIS/NCS, Oracle VM Manager, VMware infrastructure and related Cloud services.
• Develop and test Open Virtualization Tools, CI/CD Tools and DevOps capabilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans and activities for Cloud infrastructure including application of fixes, security patches and upgrades, capacity increases and other Cloud related maintenance.
• Provide advanced technical and engineering support to both internal groups and customers.
• Assist cross functional teams in troubleshooting and problem identification.
• Evaluate and analyze systems, performance, issues and metrics to provide recommendations for service improvements; diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis for application, hardware, network, and operating system issues.
• Support project quality assurance activities: and adhere to proper escalation and change control procedures.
• Respond to and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for the cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Onsite Related Tasks for Private Cloud and Layer 2 and Layer 3 device.
• Automate daily operation activities such as fetching the logs, fetching the health check report etc.
• Level 2 ticket Handling with Vendors and Internal NOC team.
• Knowledge of monitoring platforms like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Assist in any other duties as assigned from time to time, where applicable.

Role Requirements:

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field preferred with 3 – 5 Years of experience in Red Hat OpenStack/ Openshift, Kubernetes, Nokia CBIS, CommVault, Nokia CNS.
• Knowledge of all NFV/ infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS); infrastructure management tools and monitoring tools; solution sizing for hardware/software platforms; industry standard security requirements and designs.
• Ability to support and write technical documentation; evaluate and test emerging technologies.
• Individuals must know how to put in a system, operationalize it, minimal downtime, bring engineering perspective/thought leadership.
• Forward thinking on tech, keeping current with best practices and industry trends.
• Good understanding of Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud configuration, diversity across platforms.
• Strong network understanding can write fire wall rules, source destination, port, understanding a 3-tier network and Network related configuration.
