Job Summary:

The Operations Manager (Commercial and Environmental) is responsible for providing the overall direction of the organisation within the guidelines set up by the board of directors or a similar governing body. As a systems thinker, he or she will strategize and directs operational activities and translate organisational goals into achievable steps, anticipates and stays ahead of trends and takes advantage of opportunities. He or She will also mentor the management team as part of succession planning and represents the organisation in meetings with clients, investors and business partners.

He or She is expected to be at our project sites and build relationships with our clients and work closely with the Commercial and Environmental - Operations Executive as part of his role.

Job Responsibilities:

5. Manage cleaning services

- Coordinate with supervisor and client to ensure quality service delivery (compiling, analysing, development and review of operation plans to improve work procedures and quality service delivery)

- Ensure cleaning teams adhere to safety measures to during cleaning operation

- Assist in budget planning for cleaning operations

- Review daily cleaning job reports for submission to management

- Preparing periodic schedules and all other documentations and ensure all periodic schedules has been enforced and followed up accordingly.

- Covering of manpower if needed (requires you to do hands-on cleaning)

- Recruiting of manpower for projects

- Resolving all matters/ incidents on site

6. Manage inventory, equipment and maintenance schedule

- Stocktake and allocating of equipment and/or technologies and supplies to project sites

- Identify and recommend suitable equipment and/or technologies to improve cleaning operations

- Implement maintenance schedules for tools and equipment

7. Manage cleaning teams

- Facilitating in planning of work schedules, deployment of manpower, effective work processes and capability development of staff

8. Manage incidents

- Guide teams to respond to major incidents/emergencies and reporting it to the management

9. Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements:

- At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

- Preferably Managers specializing in Commercial and Environmental or Facilities Management

• Prepare and provide service and spare parts quotations in response to customer inquiries.
• Carry out service tasks, including in-house repairs and on-site commissioning for various gas and water quality analyzers, CEMS, and AQMS.

About

The Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) Programme invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant. The appointment will begin in March 2025 for 24 months in the first instance, with subsequent renewal subject to performance.

The successful applicant will work directly with the course coordinators and teaching staff and provide teaching and logistical support for BES modules and programme-related events, including the field trip course ENV3102 Field Course in Environmental Studies. JOB SCOPE

Trainee will be trained to assist and support the Operations Executive/Manager to lead and organize site Operations Team to ensure safety, daily routine, periodic schedule and manpower are available to meet contract standards and requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trainee will learn about manpower deployment and scheduling to help develop cleaning service operations work plans in line with contract standards and requirements
• Trainee will respond to customer feedback
• Trainee will learn about Workplace Safety and Health Practices so as to ensure safety measures are in place on site
• Trainee will learn to operate various types of environmental services (ES) machinery and equipment safely and competently
• Trainee will be exposed to handle wide-range of environmental services tasks at different project sites.
• Recommend ways to improve environmental sustainability using insights gathered from data analysis
• Trainee may be assigned to oversee multiple sites and will be expected to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

• Generate service and spare parts quotations based on customer inquiries and needs.
• Carry out service tasks, including performing repairs and commissioning of gas and water quality analyzers, CEMS, and AQMS both in-house and at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot and offer recommendations for analyzer issues, ensuring solutions comply with company's standard procedures and safety regulations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing them with ongoing technical and service support.
• Collaborate with customers to address service-related concerns and offer tailored technical solutions.
• Assist the project team in executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for projects.
• Identify new opportunities to expand preventive maintenance and service contract offerings.
• Provide training on product usage and features to end users and distributors.

Who we are looking for

Corporate Compliance is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ESG Compliance Officer for APAC, Assistant Vice President, to oversee and ensure APAC compliance with Sustainability (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations regionally, including responsibility for testing and reporting of applicable laws, rules, regulatory guidance, and internal policy requirements. The ESG Compliance Officer will work with a global team, cross functionally, to monitor and keep pace with regulatory obligations, develop frameworks, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory obligations and the firm’s sustainability strategy as well as provide oversight of the first line of defense ESG related activities. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of APAC ESG regulations, is a team player, and has the ability to navigate complex international regulatory landscapes while driving compliance excellence.

This role will be performed in hybrid model. We will consider applicants in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokio and Sydney, although we may be open to extend our search to another State Street branches in APAC region.

Key responsibilities:
As ESG Compliance Officer for APAC, Assistant Vice President, you will:

• Support the development of a firm wide ESG compliance program, accounting for APAC ESG regulatory requirements, and manage the execution of monitoring and testing activities while providing insights on proportionate risk mitigation approaches in the implementation of ESG requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s ESG compliance framework, ensuring its alignment with the interpretations of applicable law, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry standards through creating traceability and mapping documents.
• Implement an effective global ESG regulatory change management program that includes monitoring for new and amended ESG regulations, standards, and guidance from primary regulatory authorities in APAC, as well as working closely with business partners to update relevant controls and drive regulatory readiness.
• Conduct ESG compliance risk assessments and review and assess regulatory and compliance breaches and remediation.
• Ensure that all material residual ESG regulatory risks and issues together with remedial/mitigation actions are documented and, in collaboration with Country Compliance Heads, reported appropriately to senior management and relevant governance forums in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of ESG disclosures, metrics, risks, and other compliance requirements to demonstrate compliance with regulatory obligations and satisfy internal reporting requirements on the effectiveness of the ESG compliance program.
• Support ESG specific regulatory examinations, inquiries and prepare business leaders for reviews conducted by regulatory authorities, in collaboration with Country Compliance Heads.
• Educate compliance and business personnel on applicable ESG and sustainability-related laws, regulations, client mandates and firm policies.
• Prepare and present annual and periodic ESG Compliance program reports/reviews to satisfy client, regulator, and internal management requirements, including Compliance Program evaluations to support the State of Compliance Report.
• Participate in activities to enable successful ESG risk framework implementation including identifying data requirements, key risk indicators, key performance indicators, tools, and technology to support risk management and governance activities.
• Support the incorporation of ESG requirements in the assessment and evaluation of regulatory risks in product and services governance frameworks.
• Advise management on ESG obligations in relation to governance arrangements including the consideration of ESG objectives and goals within performance assessments, remuneration, and compensation arrangements.
• Keep pace with ESG data needs, provisions, and risks to ensure that disclosures and reporting routines meet regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Help define regulatory and reputational risks in relation to ESG obligations and guide risk owners across the publicly traded parent and its investment services and investment management businesses in the design, implementation and maintenance of risk-based impact and control-effectiveness assessments, integral to measuring residual risk and evaluating risk-appetite alignment.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on ESG compliance and Sustainable business practices.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on ESG compliance.
• Develop ESG related training curriculums for employees and directors.
• Be a role model of risk management excellence.
