• To plan, manage, oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the health, safety and environmental matters for the Project. To advise and report to Developer and ensure the Project complies with its statutory obligations.
• To be responsible for health, safety and environmental control, update the Safety Management System Manual and to ensure that all works adhere to the procedures and instructions.
• To manage the team of Assistant Safety Managers and ensure all duties and responsibilities required of they are discharged professionally and competently.
• He shall prepare a monthly status update for review with Developer but not restricted to the following:

1. Key leading and lagging indicators
2. Good work practices
3. Inadequacy in work systems or unsatisfactory work practices, and recommendation measures
4. Assessment and appraisal of the team of Assistant Safety Managers
5. The review of Main Contractor’s proposed method statement in the areas of risk assessment and safe working procedure, and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
6. To keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Project Superintending Officer(s) any relevant new legislation.
7. To ensure the notification of the Project Superintending Officer(s) if the corrective action agreed after any workplace inspection is not implemented by the arranged date.
8. To vet and endorse the minutes of all safety-related meetings and other meetings as directed by the Developer.
9. To ensure the implementation and monitoring of appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

Job Description & Requirements

• Work closely with the project team on environmental issues such as noise monitoring, pollution, vector control, air pollution, water pollution and drainage, prevention & control of infectious diseases, food hygiene, solid waste management, chemical storage & disposal, and haze response procedure. The Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) Programme invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant. The appointment will begin in March 2025 for 24 months in the first instance, with subsequent renewal subject to performance.

The successful applicant will work directly with the course coordinators and teaching staff and provide teaching and logistical support for BES modules and programme-related events, including the field trip course ENV3102 Field Course in Environmental Studies. Job Description

• Provide teaching, logistical, and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of a range of ENV-coded and Geography courses, including the overseas field trip course ENV3102 Field Course in Environmental Studies.
• Assist in creating and preparing lesson content and course materials.
• Grade and provide timely feedback for course assignments and exam scripts.
