We are particularly interested in applicants who can play an instrumental role in addressing questions relating to ethics in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies—both through teaching students who are pursuing engineering, computer science, and architecture majors and through interdisciplinary research collaborations with engineering, design, and computer science faculty. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a humanities-related discipline, such as philosophy or digital humanities, and have demonstrated research and teaching expertise in their field.

Besides cultivating a strong research portfolio, the successful candidate will be required to teach our undergraduate humanities core course and new electives in the candidate’s area of specialisation. Candidates who can contribute to our cluster’s digital humanities minor programme will also be viewed favourably.
