The Patient Service Officer is responsible for the effective administration and operations of the Patient Service Centre, working permanently on night shifts on a 4-day work week.
Job Description
- Update and maintain patient registration information accurately.
- Perform cashier duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, including checking Medisave account holder balances from the CPF website, printing hardcopies, and attaching this information to the HIS after obtaining patient authorization.
- Address queries regarding doctors' fees or patients' hospital bills during discharge.
- Process and respond to patient requests received via letters, fax, and email appropriately. Handle all general inquiries, referring to senior staff on duty when necessary.
- Follow up on all incomplete admissions and discharges.
- Manage Bed and Operating Theatre bookings after office hours, on weekends, and public holidays.
- Enter maternity patients' bio-data upon receiving completed pre-registration forms.
- Address all general inquiries, referring to senior staff on duty when necessary.
- Answer incoming telephone calls from patients, clinics, and other organizations, providing non-clinical advice and information as needed.
- Accompany patients to the appropriate locations based on the case type in the absence of a porter and provide wheelchairs to patients when necessary.
- Attend to customer feedback and update the Patient Service Executive/Manager accordingly.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.
Job Requirement
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level and above
- At least 1 years' experience in a customer service role preferably in a hospital environment
- Pleasant personality and service oriented
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player
- Able to work night shifts permanently
