The Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre (慈光乐陶苑及智障日间活动中心) were set up in December 2000 to offer community care options to adults with intellectual disabilities who are aged between 18 and 55.

Funded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the former is a purpose-built facility designed to accommodate 103 residents, whereas the latter is supported under the MSF and Tote Board Social Service Fund to provide day care services for a capacity of 50 beneficiaries.

Our programmes aim to equip all recipients with the skills and means to lead independent and fulfilling lives, so as to achieve social integration and quality of life. Tending them with holistic care and working closely with their primary caregivers to provide well-rounded support is a multi-disciplinary team comprising a social worker, training officers, staff nurses, assistant nurses, nursing and therapy aides.

As a Programme Executive, the candidate is responsible in the following areas:

1. Main Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate & develop appropriate activities, outings, events, programmes for clients with Special Needs
• Monitoring progress and milestones of programmes
• Evaluate, revised, initiate new programmes based on changing needs, climate
• Train relevant staff to appropriately conduct programmes for clients with special needs
• Assist in planning and preparation of budget for programmes for new financial year
• Conduct survey/evaluation/progress of programmes and collate feedback for submission to Centre Manager
• Ensure smooth running of activities, programmes with the team
• Maintain good, timely and updated records and progress of all programmes
• Attend to residents needs for education and assist in schedule planning and time management
• Supervise and monitor service delivery of therapists / therapy aides
• Submission of MSF/NCSS requirements
• Maintain and review Outcome Management and ICP documentations
• Plans and coordinates outings/events for all centers in Disability Care

2. Volunteer Management

• Conduct volunteer interview and orientation and preparation of volunteer induction kit
• Work with the Community Partnerships / Events team regarding volunteers
• Conduct, evaluate and maintain regular records volunteer performance/reviews in programmes with residents and with volunteers
• Provide before & after programme support and facilitate engagement & logistical support
• Contact and/or correspond with volunteers/potential volunteers to maintain healthy and purposeful engagement
• Assist to handle volunteer misconduct if any and maintain records
• Develop volunteers and prepare yearly cvolunteer budget
• Plan annual volunteer appreciation events (door gifts, programme, performances, preparation with the residents including rehearsal and practice) in collaboration with Community Partnerships / Events team
• Keep & maintain records of volunteers’ personal data in accordance with PDPA guidelines
• Maintain updated volunteer database
• Provide quarterly updates of volunteer management reports to the Review Committee (MSF)

3. Other Responsibilities

• Participate in donor/volunteer/fund raising events
• Any other duties as assigned

4. Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of related experience working with adults with special needs

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma/degree in Program management /Social Services.

• Any changes in Port Tariff, Coof and GAC are updated promptly

Joint Ventures

• Coordinate with JV partner on timely submission of their reports
• Reconciliation / finalization of accounts
• Resolution of disputes with JV partners
• Follow up of payments from/to partners

Budgets

To Prepare and check correctness of:

• Profit and Loss by Service.
• Application of assumptions

To ensure:

• Compliance with instructions and deadlines

• Actual/full year forecast vs budget are reasonable and correct

Audits

• Timely accounts schedules for Audit
• Follow up and resolve all audit concerns

Reports

To prepare and submit:

• Monthly Forecast Reports
• Monthly Profit & Loss account by Service
• Monthly trend analysis and commentaries by Service
• Agents and JV Reconciliation Statements
• Analysis for various provision accounts
• Accounts Schedules as required by Group Accountant for Audit purpose

Information Systems

• Active participation in providing input and finding solutions for new / changes to existing systems.
• To check and to test new reports (when performing parallel runs)
• Other Ad-hoc Projects as required from time to time.

Requirements

Education & Knowledge

• Accounting Diploma/ Degree Holders with minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Preferably with SAP consulting experience or SAP experience in commercial environment
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
