JOB SUMMARY:

Updating of client’s financial accounts and records. Their duties include checking accounting records for accuracy, tracking invoices and payments and maintaining a system for organizing company documents.

Ensuring that transactions are processed promptly and accurately in accordance to the Service Level Agreements with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, maintain and administer client’s accounts with a variety of monthly/quarterly/yearly bookkeeping, monthly payroll, GST reporting and payment administration.
• Preparation of clients’ deliverables (i.e. monthly management accounts, reporting packages, schedules)
• Assist clients with accounting related issues.
• Manage queries and provide support during audit exercises.
• Any ad-hoc internal assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Accountancy and above
• Work experiences in business outsourcing would be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Able to work independently to organize and prioritize work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely entries.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Conduct regular physical audits of fixed assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Fixed Asset Management: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies for fixed asset management.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Tax and Compliance: Support the preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations. Prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
• Follow-Up and Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Min 2 years of related working experience for junior role and 5 years for the senior position, preferably in the airfreight and logistics industry.
