Primary Job Function:

Major Responsibilities:

• Exercise proper controllership responsibilities, including revenue recognition, channel inventory, AR/Aging and balance sheet reviews, affiliate DSO/DOH/cash flow control and improvement, management of returns, obsolescence, reserves and accruals.
• Assess and challenge all departmental processes with an eye towards innovation and operational excellence.

Group Finance Manager (Shipping/Maritime)

Our client is a leading European ship owner with one of the largest fleet in the world. This position is newly created in their group HQ based in Singapore and will be reporting to the Group Financial controller.

This role is within the Financial Control (FinCon) team in Singapore and will work closely with segment managers, corporate team and other internal stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements in statutory financial reporting and tax compliance matters.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the following:

FINANCIAL REPORTING AND AUDIT

Job Description

The successful candidate will join Business Technology (Finance) Department in SIA Finance Division. You will be supporting Mendaki Club’s (MClub) Secretariat Team, as an intern, and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful MClub programmes and/or projects. You will also provide basic assistance in the financial operations for the volunteer-led organization.

You will be expected to work between stipulated time on weekdays but will also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support executive committee meetings and programmes (claimable via working hours time-off).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support Logistical Needs of MClub and/or YMC programmes.
