The Role

• My Client is a leading Insurance Firm and we are looking for a Compliance professional to join the team in Singapore. This is a new headcount due to their expansion plans in Asia, and you will be given the exposure across the Compliance function with proven leaders in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the sales team to ensure Compliance and mitigate Fraud and Operational Risk
• Identity Compliance gaps and implement framework to mitigate gaps and risks.
• Report key findings related to Sales Compliance, Fraud, and Operational Risk
• Any other adhoc Compliance duties across the Group level
• Maintain and build a Compliance culture in the firm

You must:

• A bachelors degree in a reputable university
• 10 years of experience in a Compliance role – Insurance industry preferred
• Strong Sales Compliance or Operational Audit experience
• Be able to work independently, while also being a strong team player

Finance

· Group financial reporting and analysis

· Prepare monthly Group consolidation and quarterly SGX reporting

· Prepare board slides and board papers

· Monitor cash balances and cashflow forecast

· Able to prepare full set of accounts at company level

· Maintain relationships with external/internal auditors, consultants, bankers and advisors

· Assist in financial planning and budgeting

· Assist in annual tax return and other tax matters

· Assist in the evaluation and due diligence of potential acquisitions, leases, management contracts and franchise agreements of hotels

Risk management

· Develop and maintain reliable internal control systems

· Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

· Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

Requirements:

· Degree-qualified or CA/CPA with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Singapore listed companies

· Experience in hospitality industry is preferred

· Able to work independently

· Rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft office applications

Responsibilities:

• Compilation of monthly closing journal entries.
• Preparation and review of monthly accounts reconciliations and schedules.
• Assessment of the monthly inventories aging report to ensure the adequacy of Net Realizable Value (NRV).
• Oversight of the chart of accounts, including consistency checks, control account creation, and archiving.
• Assisting in the annual policy renewal review.
• Providing support during audit reviews.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Handling the Annual Statutory Accounts and XBRL filings.
• Reviewing GST submission workings and conducting GST reconciliation tests.
• Reviewing and maintaining records for capex related to new or replacement fixed asset requisitions.
• Managing the asset register.
• Assisting the reporting team in formulating budgets and forecasts.
• Preparing and finalizing budget and forecast documents.

Requirements:

• Possess a diploma in Accounting & Finance along with 5-6 years of work experience, or hold a degree in Accounting & Finance with 3-4 years of work experience.
• Demonstrate a robust understanding of General Ledger (GL) processes.
• Exhibit proficient Excel skills.
• Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

We are looking for a Finance Manager / Head of Finance to join our team! This role will report to our CEO/Founder. You will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company including tracking cash flow, analysing strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans when necessary and preparing accurate forecasts so that management can make informed decisions about future investments or cuts including setting up and tracking financial goals, objectives, and budgets. You will be expected to assess financial risks and opportunities as well as oversee and manage lower-level financial managers and the finance team as a whole.

Your main job responsibilities will include -

• Oversee and lead the entire finance, accounting and legal functions of the company, assuring legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assisting with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
• Review and oversee all existing processes (including documentations) within the group, propose and implement solutions / develop new processes to which are aligned with management goals and objectives.
• Oversee and manage streamlining of group structure with legal counsel with a view to achieve a clean structure for fund raising.
• Oversee and manage any fund-raising activity of the company including dealing with advisor, potential investors, and stakeholders.
• Manage and provide relevant support including structuring, strategy, and positioning for all target investment deals / projects.
• Overseeing the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
• Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company.
• Supervising the financial reporting and budgeting team and reviewing financial reports for ways to reduce costs.
• Working well with the leadership team to develop effective strategic plans for the company.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in the real estate industry, hospitality industry, membership club, events or related industries. He/she will need to:

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager / Head of Finance or relevant role
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
• Ability to strategize and solve problems.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
• CPA / CA Singapore certification is a strong advantage.
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
