Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Executive to join our dynamic team.
The Finance Executive will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning and analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Transactions Processing:
· Handle daily accounting transactions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Flow
· Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
· Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
· Conduct variance analysis and identify key financial metrics to support decision-making
· Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Assist in the development and management of the annual budget
· Monitor and report on budget performance, highlighting any variances and providing actionable insights
· Prepare financial forecasts to aid in strategic planning
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
· Prepare GST quarterly returns and corporate tax filings
· Ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filings, audits, procedures, and forms, both statutory and internal
· Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, bankers, and government authorities as required
- Revenue Recognition and Subscription Billing:
· Manage revenue recognition processes in line with SaaS industry standards
· Oversee subscription billing cycles and ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recording
- Financial System and Process Improvement:
· Utilize financial management software to maintain accurate financial records
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
· Stay updated with new financial technologies and tools to optimize financial management
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Business Development, Project Management) to align financial strategies with business objectives
· Provide financial insights and support for cross-functional projects
- Administrative and Support Tasks:
· Provide administrative support for government funding/grants and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) related applications.
· Perform any ad-hoc finance or administrative duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
(1) Education and Experience:
· Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
· Bachelor Degree in Accounting or relevant discipline or ACCA will be a plus
· At least 3 years related working experience handling full set accounts
(2) Skills and Competencies:
· Proficient in Microsoft office applications
· Experience in XERO Accounting Software is an advantage
· Professional written and verbal communication in English
· Independent and meticulous and able to meet deadlines
· Team player with high integrity and sense of urgency
· Able to converse in Mandarin
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
