The Department acts as the centralised control point for credit matters in SG. The Department’s primary responsibilities are credit risk monitoring and control to ensure the overall soundness of the credit portfolio and reporting credit-related matters to MAS, Branch Management or Head Office. Job Purpose

• Evaluate and examine credit limits for customers/factors promptly, or implement limits from trade credit insurer/import factors efficiently.
• Prepare notification letters and update records in the system.
• Conduct debt verification and overdue management to control risk and support funding.
• Manage periodic reporting and all aspects of credit insurance, including payments for limit application fees and premiums.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Finance/Business/Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of credit assessment and credit control management experience.
• Familiar with Trade Credit Insurance and FCI’s GRIF rules.

Role Description:

Based in Singapore, reporting to the Regional Finance Director (RFD) for Asia located in Hong Kong, the Finance Manager (FM) will be responsible for the financial side of the business in Singapore/Malaysia with a dotted line to the Country Mgrs of Singapore and Malaysia

Key tasks will include, but will not be limited to: 

• Ensuring timely and accurate financial accounting incl. AP, AR, IC invoicing, asset mgnt and depreciation. 
• Collection of Outstanding Receivables 
• Management of KPIs such as Days of Sales Outstanding WIP and AR 
• Reporting on a country level to manager in Hong Kong 
• Legal compliance – working with RFD to ensure optimized legal set-up 
• Contribute to initiatives and help drive all large improvement processes 
• Financial system upgrades to follow McLarens group standard systems 
• Overseeing and managing cash flow 
• Budgeting and legal projections-actual vs budget analysis 
• Coordination and preparation of monthly actuals and all annual financials 
• Year-end audit planning and execution 
• Filing Corporate income tax, Sales tax, Staff withholding tax and any other applicable taxes in a timely and compliant manner 
• Local registrations and statutory reporting 
• Business support to local management team 
• Payroll management 
• Other ad-hoc administration tasks

What you'll do:

As a Trade Support Associate in Private Banking, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a variety of tasks. You will ensure the timely and accurate capture of trades while also dealing with any discrepancies that may arise. Your role will involve monitoring and processing trade lifecycle events as well as controlling, reconciling, and resolving any exceptions in the trade processing. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with technology teams on the implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancements. Furthermore, you will collaborate with legal/compliance, IT and project teams to analyze new regulatory reform requirements and deploy new processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate trade capture and checkout
• Resolve trade discrepancies by liaising with trading, sales and relevant teams
• Monitor and process trade lifecycle events
• Control, reconcile, and resolve the trade processing exceptions
• Work with technology for implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancements
• Analyze new regulatory reform requirements and deploy new processes with legal/compliance, IT and project teams
• Perform daily control processes for regulatory reporting to local regulators

The ideal candidate for this Trade Support Associate role will bring a wealth of experience from an Operational role within the banking sector. A university degree coupled with 3-5 years' experience is essential. Experience in Private Banking would be highly beneficial as would previous experience within a global investment bank. The ability to deal effectively with sales/traders and clients is crucial as is high personal commitment and integrity. A good understanding of products, business operations along with excellent communication skills are key to success in this role.

• University degree with 3-5 years of experience in an Operation role
