• Direct report to Head of Investment Services, in supporting the delivery of end-to-end systems and data migration for Investment Services.
• Review and enhance workflow processes undertaken in Investment Services to improve efficiency, mitigate risks of errors, with sound internal controls that are in line with current banking standards.
• Support the business and project team in managing and completion of project milestones.
• Keep business and project team up-to-date on project related issues, matters and resolutions in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with other project team members to integrate reports and data information into the revised Standard Operating Procedure.
• Engage in report/file related features in system demonstration and training for Investment Services operational users.

Job Purpose

This is a role in SMBC’s Private Wealth Group and it includes supporting the establishment of credit and risk policies and responsibility for private wealth related credit products including structured lending (single stock financing), Lombard lending, mortgage lending and insurance related lending. The position reports to the Secretary-General. The Finance and Administrative Manager shall define and implement the financial strategy of IRSG. As technical manager, accountable for the correct and consistent application of policies and procedures in the management of administrative and Finance functions through the provision of technical leadership, guidance, and support to the country office and sub-offices where applicable.

Contributes to strategic planning and policy changes/formulation on administrative matters as necessary. Provides technical input to the establishment of administrative and Finance guidelines. As an Advisor to the Secretary-General, the incumbent updates staff on administrative and Finance policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, providing authoritative advice and administrative support. (F) EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
An advanced university degree (minimum of a Master’s degree and preferably a PhD) in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent certificate from a recognized University is mandatory. Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) and Membership of a professional body such as the ACCA, ACA, etc. are mandatory.

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the area of finance, financial risk management, or any other comparable experience in a Big 4 (or equivalent) Accounting firm and in industry, preferably with multinational companies, is desirable. Proficiency in the use of the following types of accounting software (general accounting software, payroll software, inventory management software, and invoicing software), with specific competence in two or more of the following accounting software: NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Desktop Pro,Sage Intacct, FreshBooks, QB Enterprise, Xero, SAP Business One, Blackline, and Acumatica, among others is mandatory.
