Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a broad portfolio of international clients.
• Participate in new client prospects meetings and oversee the onboarding process.
• Develop a deep understanding of your Client’s businesses to ensure that Forvis Mazars’ reports and advice are timely relevant and that a strong “Trusted Business Advisor” relationship is in place.
• Impart technical expertise to your team to ensure accounts are prepared in line with Singapore and International Financial Standards. Additionally, identify and highlight potential advisory and compliance issues (e.g. taxation, Companies Act, immigration) to the appropriate experts within Mazars for further consideration.
• Plan the work of your team and help them to ensure deliverables are timely and processes are efficient.
• Take ownership of the financial performance of your team.
• Ensure all firm quality and risk processes are understood and complied with by your team.
• Coach, mentor and support the continuous development and well-being of staff.
• Act as a key member of the management team, exhibiting and promoting high levels of client service and commercial thinking.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and other tasks as and when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory level, preferably from a professional services firm in an Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting/Audit environment.
• Deep understanding of Singapore compliance requirements including accounting, tax, payroll, Companies Act is a definite advantage
• Strong and extensive technical accounting knowledge in Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential; Familiarity with XERO, SAP and/or NetSuite is an advantage.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Demonstrate a strong focus on client service, with entrepreneurial and commercial thinking skills.

The Tax team supports organisations at every stage of the lifecycle – from structuring business tax effectively and managing any employment tax issues to transactional tax obligations and compliance. As a Corporate Tax Manager, your responsibilities include:

• managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high quality professional services
• working with clients to understand business requirements to develop and maintain client relationships
• handling tax queries, planning and restructuring inquires
• acting as an engagement lead which includes planning, scheduling and budgeting of projects
• mentoring and managing junior tax staff including Senior Associates and Associates

Qualifications and requirements

• Recognised Degree and/or relevant Professional Qualification
• Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) accreditation would be an added advantage
• Able to lead a team and have a strong understanding of corporate tax issues

Requirements:

• University-level education, preferably in finance, business, or a related field.
• >4 years of experience in a client-facing environment within banking with strong relationship-building skills.
• Proven sales ability with a customer-centric approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding of financial markets and a genuine interest in staying informed.
• A mature, independent mindset with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
