Brief Summary

The Regional Finance Director partners with the Commercial SVP to drive growth sustainably by driving efficiency in the investments being made to drive topline and bottom line as well. The focus remains on improving topline, healthy margins and minimizing financial risks by understanding the key business drivers, analysing key financial metrics, providing value-added analysis to the commercial team, support to sales/finance management (budget analysis, portfolio management, new investment decisions and financial forecasting). The role needs to support cross-functional teams within the taste business.

Key Activities

• Provide on-going challenge and support to top line management to improve performance and manage risks and opportunities in all aspects of Sales and Gross profit parameters. Hold fort on Key Business KPIs viz. Revenue, Mix, Segments, Margins and Working Capital for a large business size.
• Be the steering Co-pilot of the regional Taste Business, responsible for regional Taste P&L from revenue to EBITDA contribution.
• Be the strategic partner of the Senior Vice President, Taste business and the Executive Team for the region. Provide accurate, relevant, timely financial & non-financial analyses to the leadership team for monthly activities, and business cases for investments or strategic scenarios.
• Preparing Annual business plan, financial budgets, rolling forecasts, capex budgeting and variance analysis.
• Closely collaborate with Sales, Commercial and Operational Managers to develop and improve business, customer, and product performance reporting.
• Formulate Drive Business Plans / Strategies for the Market for specific categories and Division to operationalize the short term and long-term plans.
• Facilitate business reviews with data analysis, detailed cost and revenue bridges and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time.
• Help evaluate all commercial/financial proposals from the business team and help take a data-backed decision.
• Cost control & cost management. Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs (RSA) and improve ways for Free Cash Flow Management & Liquidity Management Plan.
• Preparation of monthly management reports and presentation for the higher management and provide useful insights into the business activities. Crisp Presentations and creative visualizations explaining financial business results - Deliver key messages to Category / Business leaders / Executive Committee and manoeuvre to a decision.
• Evaluate proposals within the region for Mergers and Acquisitions and engage in discussions with prospective buyers/sellers along with the M&A team.
• Manage a small team and drive continuous improvement by providing various avenues for professional development and fostering a culture of oneness among the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and a relevant professional certification like CA, CPA, CFA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10+ years of overall finance experience with current experience as Finance Director, Business Controller, Financial Controller having overseen region or Segment of minimum $500M to $800M in revenues. Experience built in Flavors, FMCG environment is highly preferred.
• Strong business and strategic acumen, leadership skills, demonstrating courage and conviction to drive change and to positively challenge and convey opinions at Executive meetings.

JOB PURPOSE

This role supports Financial operations activities within the Compensation & Benefits Regional Team (C&B) for the Fujifilm Business Innovation Asia Pacific (FBAP) office. The incumbent will work closely with FBAP Finance, FFAP Finance (as needed) teams, FBAP HR, Opcos HR and/or Finance teams, to ensure timely and accurate deliverables of all C&B and financial related activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is responsible for the following but not limited to:-

• Preparing and submitting all financial related activities, for FBAP on budgeting, costing, accruals, forecast (outlook), re-charging and reconciliation activities relating to manpower cost.

Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

Scope :

All finance and accounting matters relating to our business.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities :

-Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

-To prepare invoices for reporting.

-Preparing all Final Disbursement Accounts (FDA) accurately and within deadlines.

-Prepare and arrange 'Cash To Master (CTM)' with vendors.

-Process payment to suppliers and staff reimbursement.

-Prepare monthly AP journals, postings and schedules.

-Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by your immediate supervisor

Skills and Qualifications :

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and D365

Numerical Skills and attention to details

Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent

• Must have a diploma or bachelor degree with 5 years of experience.
• Must have knowledge in ms office and other basic computer skills.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Need to prepare the invoice nd project proposals for the new projects.
• Will be liasing wth the clients and coordinate with the authorities for the necessary paper work.
• Will ne scheduling the daily work process and will be incharge for the deployment of the team.
• Assist project manager to liaise with main con site personnel to solve problem on site for ongoing projects.
• Attend site meeting on behalf of the project manager when necessary
• Lead a team of installers on site to ensure the timely handover and the safety protocols
• Conduct training on the fabrication and installation works for the new workers
• Attend site survey for the new projects

The Vaccines Finance Director Greater China and Intercontinental ensures ambitious, aligned & effective Plans and Forecasts as well as supports performance management and optimization through regular analysis, business insights and right balance of risks and opportunities. This role enables and builds strong commercial business cases for the GC&I region including launches and BD support. The scope includes providing partnering, decision support, financial analysis, and performance management for Vaccines in the GC&I region. It requires highly effective partnering with a range of roles including Regional/Area Finance Heads, Vaccines Markets Leaders, Vaccines Financial Leaders, and Vaccines Financial Partners in the Local Operating Companies (LOCs). Key interfaces will include both commercial and financial roles across a full spectrum of seniority and geographies. Success in the role requires strong influencing and interpersonal skills, ability to understand market dynamics in different markets (tenders, private markets, etc), work with a wide range of people and cultures and operate effectively in a complex matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will support building robust Vaccines plans in line with ambition, targets, and supply plans through engagement with and challenging the LOCs, Vaccines Markets Leaders and Vaccines Financial Leaders. This will include preparation of the relevant decks, performance and scenarios analysis for Plan, MYE and LQE discussions outlining the assumptions and Risks and Opportunities.
• You lead and drive alignment between the Regions and Global Vaccines on mutually agreed forecasts and plans, including rolling forecasts, as well as building strong & aligned Risks and Opportunities.
• You partner with senior management in the region and GVC enabling effective strategy and decision making, covering Sales, P&L and Balance Sheet, which are informed by critical business analysis and insights in the following areas - contracting, tenders, BDs, etc.
• You support monthly performance reviews (MPRs) to influence effective decision making in the business, including analysing performance and resource allocation, adapting priorities, and identifying actions to close the gaps.
• You support financial aspects and negotiations of business development activities in the GC&I.
• You support preparation to launches and FRCs for the region actively collaborating with VFLs, VMLs, region and markets to enable launch planning and decision making, providing key inputs and insights, supporting launch modelling and being a reference point for forecast reviews ahead of FRC.
• You actively participate in the Actual closing process on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis providing the relevant analysis and insights to the Vaccines and regional teams.
• You will support the preparation of the quarterly press releases covering GSK Vaccines business in GC&I via analysis of actual results, relevant business insights and partnering with the region and markets.
• You actively influence and participate in the extended Finance Leadership Teams for GC&l and Global Vaccines and are a key member of the Global Demand Review Meeting.
• You provide business insights (variance analysis monthly consensus forecast vs latest financial forecasts / supply / risks and opportunities) for the monthly Regional S&OP.
• You ensure the leverage of CCC+ reports to increase Forecast Accuracy, reduce Bias and enable business insights, while reducing duplication of work across local, regional, and global teams.
• You act as ambassador of changes in ways of working and financial processes and systems transformation to accelerate implementation and increase efficiency.
• You will provide support to the GC&I region on other projects and analysis required outside of Vaccines business up to 25% of time.

Basic qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Business or Finance
• Min 8 years of experience in demonstrating advanced financial knowledge of accounting, model analysis, evaluation, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Min 5 years of experience working within a complex non-finance matrix team.

Preferred qualifications

• lnternationally recognized MBA or Finance qualification or through strong senior level experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead discussions with Senior Leaders.
• Effective options analysis, scenario planning and decision making.
• Good knowledge of GSK Finance standards, systems and processes
• Finance experience related to Core Commercial Cycle, Manufacturing (especially vaccines) and Commercial preferred.
