• Recommending and implementing solutions to mitigate potential production issues
• Taking ownership, responding to incident tickets, and closing open incident tickets by adhering to service level agreements

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of experience managing on premise Kafka Platforms
2. Manage Kafka Cluster build, including Design, Infrastructure planning, High Availability and Disaster Recovery in an OpenShift environment.
3. Perform day-to-day administration and support functions including capacity Management, performance, utilization, and health of the cluster.
4. Undertake Lifecycle Management across the Kafka on premise environments.
5. Research and recommend innovative ways to maintain the environment and ensure automation is undertaken.
6. Setting up monitoring tools such as SPLUNK, Grafana to provide metrics from various Kafka cluster components (eg., Broker, Zookeeper, Connect, REST proxy, Schema Registry, KSQL)
7. Undertake regular assessments of the platform health and stability, create improvement plans and ensure automation/lifecycle management is undertaken.
8. Ansible Scripting for automation of Kafka installs hosted on OpenShift.
9. Experience in Containerization (OpenShift / Kubernetes).
10. Configuring AMQ from an infrastructure perspective, including performance monitoring, integration functions, delivery status and network management.
11. Configuring adaptors from an application connectivity perspective, specifically Sterling Integrator B2B and AMQ.
12. Handling Messaging features and functions typically used by applications, including ack/nak, recovery and error handling.

Job Duties

Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in IT Software or related field.
• Certifications in Project Management are advantageous.
• Working knowledge in MS Office, Project Management and Visio
• Able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Customer-oriented person with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

About the Role

This is a consultant role for our client’s International Mobility Centre (IMC) in Singapore. This role encompasses overseeing all facets of the assignment management program which includes managing relationships with assignees, vendors, global processes, technology, and ensuring operational service delivery. You will be reporting to the APAC IMC Senior Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive service delivery for all categories of assignees within the region, offering personalized and attentive assistance.
• Proactively collaborating with assignees and partners to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Serving as a subject matter expert for HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and other key stakeholders on global mobility matters in the designated region.
• Advising HRBPs on IMC policies, their application, and compliance issues across borders.
• Making practical and efficient decisions regarding policy application, balancing business requirements and global governance, and escalating when necessary.
• Managing policy exceptions within the APAC exception management framework.
• Ensuring overall client and user satisfaction for the assignee population, measuring vendor performance, and conducting assignee satisfaction surveys.
• Ensuring that services are provided efficiently and transparently, delivering a seamless experience for individuals within the region.
• Driving innovation and accelerating the digital transformation of IMC and talent mobility-related areas.

• Facilitating collaboration among internal stakeholders such as HR Shared Services, Finance, Procurement, Rewards, and Legal within the region.
• Preparing and authorizing compensation statements, assignment documentation, and policy exceptions (within approval limits) for all levels of assignees.
• Generating and approving cost estimates for all new assignments, ensuring adherence to the correct approval process.
• Identifying and discussing opportunities for policy and process enhancements.
• Organizing mobility training workshops for relevant stakeholders.
• Participating in various global mobility projects and coordinating activities at a regional and global level.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with international assignments, global mobility or assignment management issues. Applicants with additional technical knowledge in the areas of employment law, tax, social security, payroll compliance and vendor management would be desirable.

• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in international assignment management.
