Inspection Engineer (Tankage)
Job Description:
Inspection on various tanks such as basic repair and maintenance.
Performed regular inspections to ensure Quality Assurance on the various installed materials in the facility.
Manage the inspection process regularly by determining the corrosion rate.
Perform internal/external inspections on storage tanks and to generate reports with repair recommendations.
Monitor the tank inspections on regular intervals.
Performed various quality assurance procedures on the tanks.
Maintain records of all inspection process carried in both hard copies as well as electronic copy.
Perform inspection asper various quality assurance procedures on the tank’s asper client criteria.
Perform internal and external inspections to determine if it meets the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document.
Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Computer usage to compile and submit daily reports, inspection reports, and inter-office communications.
Pay attention to detail and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.
Maintains a positive relationship between client, facility, and customer; and promote a positive attitude towards co-workers.
Compile and submit completed inspection reports in a timely manner.
Inspection of various storage tanks in accordance with API inspection codes and Recommended practices asper API- 620, 650 and 653.
To provide technical expertise on all NDT matters as required on projects.
Qualifications:
Degree in any related engineering/science field from a recognized university
Candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with more than 15 years of experience in the petrochemical industry working in fixed equipment or inspection related areas
Knowledge of materials selection, Non-Destructive Examination techniques, welding, and risk-based inspection procedures, would be an advantage
Familiarity with major API codes and specially API 650 for tankage will be an added advantage
Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as MS Office, etc.
Willingness to work extended hours, not afraid of heights and working in confined spaces
A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Capable of effectively driving milestone planning for Equipment Strategy development with key members from various functions
Candidates having work experience with ExxonMobil will be prioritized.
