We would like to welcome a Senior/Lead Design Engineer to be part of our Data Center Business, based in our Singapore office. Main duties:

• Manage all technical aspects of designs for assigned projects, and implement, where appropriate, the latest (or as governed by contract) International and National Standards, Codes of Practice, software and requirements of ‘good engineering practice' for all work performed.
• Responsible for the execution of assigned work; meeting the Company's contractual obligations and the Client's needs and expectations, on time, and within budget.
• Ensure direct, effective, and timely communications of project requirements, routine reporting and sharing important information to Management, Heads of Department, the Project Manager, and all supervised staff, conducting routine and working meetings as appropriate. Follow up to ensure a clear understanding.
• Develop Project Execution Plan (PEP) using input from all discipline lead engineers. Revision, modification, and issuance of procedures related to the projects based on contracts.
• Adhere to the Company Quality Management System, HSE requirements, policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to Scope of Work and Design Basis Memorandum; identify variations in a timely manner, whether initiated by the Client or internally.
• Participate in meetings with the Project Manager, Client and third parties, to communicate specifications, construction scope of work, calculations, data sheets, material requisitions, etc.
• Participate in quality audits in cooperation with the QA/ QC Representative.
• Provide input, cost, technical considerations and capabilities in tender or contract to project manager or manager of projects.
• Perform the squad check of documents and drawings of other disciplines, reviewing all the interfaces to be coordinated, as required per contract and project requirements.
• Involvement during Tender Management & preparation of Bids, when needed.

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess a minimum Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in Data Center projects. Singapore's local project experience is crucial.

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. Responsible to Provide primarily execute & support directives set forth at production department.
2. Fully responsible for First Article Run till Approval, and take charge of preliminary production run lots. This includes plan, monitor and control projects from the receipt of orders through completion and getting project acceptance by customers.
3. Review / prepare, administer and implement Process Routes, Inspection Plans and other operational procedures in accordance to the project specifications, client's surveillance requirements, and enforce the same on Operations in their project execution. This includes designing of Jig and Fixtures which is required for the machining process, as well as development of CNC Program for executing the machining run of the products.
4. Communicate and co-ordinate with inter-departments and relevant parties pertaining to the technical requirements and engineering aspects of the assigned projects.
5. Provide expertise and advisory support to enable operations are effectively and responsibly execute, and consistently maintain, quality workmanship and conformance to design and project specifications, and good manufacturing / engineering practices.
6. Respond and resolve technical / quality issues of the production orders among inter-departments / customers.
7. Participate in the implementation of risk assessment and risk control of medical devices

Competence Requirement:-

• NTC / Diploma / Degree in Precision Engineering / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing field or equivalent.
• Fresh degree holder in engineering related field may be considered for Engineer position, while others educational holder must have relevant 3 – 8 years of experiences in precision engineering or equivalent field.
• Have sound and practical hands-on knowledge on the machining process such as CNC Mill / Turn is a plus.
• Preferably with hands on knowledge of CAD / CAM application software.

The Digital Technology Department in OSIM works together as a team to ensure that the final product is programmed to meet the needs and wants of the consumer, whilst, incorporating the latest and most desirable technology to remain competitive in the market. This department comprises of the Product Owners, UI/UX, Mobile Application, IOT as well as the Digital QA group.
