• Install new VSAT equipment and upgrade components or systems, preferably with C-band and Extended C-band equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance for VSAT system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experienced with IT maintenance and support.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT field, with background in IT maintenance and support
• Familiar with Symantec EndPoint Protection, Windows Server, RHEL 7, MSSQL Server, VMWare ESXi 6.7
• Familiar with SendQuick or other SMS gateways, SOPHOs or other email forwarding application
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting switched and routed networks
• Knowledge of basic Linux commands will be preferred
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Required to perform 24/7 offsite standby duty (bi-weekly engineering support)

Vision Application Engineer

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In house components development / evaluation:

• Camera: evaluate camera sensor sensitivity, response time.
• Light: select appropriate light source for respective application; check light intensity spreading.
• Optical / lens: select appropriate optical component, optimize the optical setup.

Evaluation on sample given by customer: provide evaluation report for customer.

• Report shall include optic setup: FOV., camera used, light type.
• Comments on finding.

New project / optical setup / 3D development: document the setup and finding.

Create system configuration report: prepared for OEM designer

• Define each application or station requirement:
• Optical setup
• What type of inspection module to be used?
• What type of interface is required – protocol used

Generate communication protocol doc for vision system based on configuration report:

• Prepared for OEM Software Engineer

Create standard components drawing (ACAD): new camera, new lights, new lens.

Create cable drawing:

New cables such as trigger cable, camera cable, light cable and I/O interface cable.

Create system drawing based on configuration report:

Schematic diagram for Mfg personnel

Testing of new software release

Provide application notes and manual for vision application.

Response to customer application enquiry.

Back up for service personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science in Physics or Optics Engineering with 2 years working experience
• Diploma holders in Mechatronics / Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics will also be considered
• Experience with ACAD drawing, optical design software, optical alignment and optical testing preferredt: document the setup and finding.
