He has to map out proper off day & leave forecast at beginning of week. He has to ensure the premises is clean (by organising a duty roster for staff) & ensure that premise is well ventilated and fragrance . Candidate has to prepare a routine time table to check the usable condition of all equipment & laundry related matters . Candidate's duty also include reporting to Boss about the daily sales, the number of compliments or complaints from guests per day,ensure the sales target per day are achieved by the staff, suggest ideas to improve sales, recommend better work flow, Good at customer relationship and attend to the needs of clients.

- Prepare adjustment of inventory for monthly closing

- Work closely with all departments to ensure the accuracy of monthly closing and reporting

- Maintain timely and accuracy of monthly accounts including audit/tax

- Prepare Debit notes and Credit notes

- Prepare monthly accounting journals

- Prepare the intercompany billings

- Follow up on the monthly account receivable aging

The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the Global Controller Business Partner (CBP) team, leveraging new technologies, Process Reengineering, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Data Analytics to create value for the individual and the Company. Additionally, DFS is an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO)) and we believe in developing accounting professionals, investing in people, and facilitating dynamic career moves across various accounting functions such as Global Finance Services (P2P, O2C, Fixed Assets), Consolidation, Management Reporting, and Global Tax.

As a member of the CBP team, the candidate will work closely with our global stakeholders to address accounting queries, ensure timely and accurate reporting and contribute to business improvement initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month-end close, hard-close, fast close and year-end close processes of designated business divisions.
• Prepare/review and analyze monthly management and financial reports
• Prepare/review internal and external schedules/reports as required.
• Review and provide direction to staff with regards to account reconciliation and sub-ledgers to general ledger and other balance sheet reconciliations such as banks/inventory, etc. for completeness and accuracy and follow up on action items.
• Identify areas with exposure to risk/potential risk in the designated business divisions. Suggest solutions to mitigate the risks.
• Ensure that working papers, schedules, correspondences, and other documentation meet quality assurance tests and are in line with DFS best practices.
• Provide support and respond to queries from divisions on a timely basis. Where necessary, co-ordinate and work with other departments/functions to accomplish objectives.
• Ensure accounting treatment of standard or special processes comply with DFS accounting policies and internal control procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as well as other outside parties as required.
• Work closing with Consolidation and Group Reporting, Corporate and Divisions FP&A for changes to management reports arising from accounting changes, new businesses, etc.
• Keep abreast of on-going accounting and reporting changes in IFRS and local reporting standards.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of experience, preferably with some commercial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• General Ledger and consolidation experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in software packages and flexibility to learn new tools like SAP ERP, SAP Business, Planning & Consolidation, Excel, Word, Blackline, Concur and Coupa
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well independently and across all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated, team oriented, resourceful and able to multi priorities.
