Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
• Assist in loading and unloading building materials and equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment.
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble and debris.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other materials.
• Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and frames.
• Perform minor repairs on existing structures.

• Recommend and implement various upgrading programmes as well as monitor the progress and control the budget of these programmes
• Ensure S/POs conduct horticulture maintenance inspections with reports to S/HOs
• Review landscape design plans prepared by S/HOs and Consultants and assist S/HOs to obtain feedback from grassroots on choice of plants
• Oversee S/HOs in the preparation of tree planting day and other events that require landscaping works or flowers decorations to be provided
• Provide secretarial support as Secretary/Assistant Secretary to TC Standing Committee

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Services / Facilities Management / Real Estate Business or other building related degree
