This position is based in PartnerRe’s Singapore office. As the Client Partner ANZ, you will be reporting to the Head of ANZ Life & Health, APAC. You will support the Head of ANZ with management of the in force portfolio and origination of new business opportunities.
Responsibilities of this role include management of client relationships and excellent internal stakeholder management to execute transactions including treaty negotiation and finalisation and coordination of administration/operational requirements. As part of the team, you are required to:
· Contribute to the development and execution of strategy and action plans for both markets, supporting the team to deliver target results and profitability
· Manage client relationships, look for new opportunities, manage new opportunities and contribute to the delivery of sustainable and marketable proposals, including drafting tender documents and negotiating and finalizing treaty terms
· Assist with oversight of in-force portfolio management – ensure appropriate exposure monitoring, actual-to-expected analysis, experience analysis completed as required
· Help and support prospecting of other clients/opportunities in market
· Support the Head of ANZ with execution and implementation of new transactions, and contributing to the maintenance of in force transactions, ensuring compliance with our obligations by coordinating with our actuarial, accounting and administration teams.
In addition, you will contribute to the development of expertise and know-how of the team members, and to enhancing PartnerRe’s profile through conference attendance and work with professional bodies.
About you
You are a technically strong self-starter with an ability to demonstrate excellent commercial sense and ability to build relationships. Creativity, curiosity balanced with pragmatism are desirable attitudes.

Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to support the team and meet the business needs. Moreover, you have the following background, skills and mindset:
· Actuary or highly numerate background, and demonstrated business development experience
· At least 5-7 years’ experience in life re/insurance, with a proven track record of developing client relationships in Australia and New Zealand
· Strong knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand retail/primary insurance markets, group markets, financial solutions and regulatory environment
· A strong balance of technical excellence and commercial sense
· Exposure to large insurance or reinsurance transactions
· Strong communicator externally with clients and internal stakeholders
· Travel to Australia and New Zealand for client meetings, industry events etc. will be required.
