Target Operating Model

• Work with key stakeholders to design an agile operating model that is fit for purpose and appropriate (lean, yet compliant) for a start up business in the Health Technology industry. In particular, drive the move to a more product-led organisation, across product, technology, data, commercial/clients, and other key areas like finance. Develop goals/OKRs and KPIs to create joint accountability across functions and transparency on progress of implementation.

• Carry out specimen analysis, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the analysers and validation of results
• Able to troubleshoot and explain basic problems and escalate when required
• Knowledgeable on Quality Control (QC) (eg. Westgard, criteria, EQA) and verification of QC results and assist to troubleshoot issues
• Adhere to the department’s standard operating procedures and safety requirements
• Assist in the supervision and guiding of junior staff
• Revise or write new SOP

The incumbent will be responsible for the management of assigned clinical service(s) across the continuum of care, and achieving stated outcomes in customer service, volume & financial targets, processes, learning & growth perspectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage service point operations assigned.
2. Responsible for daily operations of these service points, including front counter services, administrative / operational matters and partnering Nurse Manager and other stakeholders to solve system and process problems.
3. Responsible for devising innovative services to continually improve service levels and improve patient care.
4. Responsible for achieving volume and financial targets for clinical targets assigned.
5. Manage services through annual financial budgeting and regular reviews with clinical heads, and development of new services.
6. Manage a group of non-nursing staff providing services in service points. Conduct appraisals for non-nursing staff.
7. Ensure that non-nursing staff receive appropriate induction, orientation and training so that they possess appropriate skills and knowledge to carry out their jobs.
8. Responsible for staff recruitment and retention to achieve stable, skilled and motivated workforce and achieve the desired customer and business outcomes.
9. Responsible for two-way communication between staff and management and ensure timely dissemination of information, escalation of issues and recommending solutions to problems.
10. Participate in committees and other tasks as assigned.
11. Job rotations to other operational areas after 3 years.

Requrement

• Degree in any discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in healthcare industry
• Healthcare operational experience will be advantageous although not necessary
• Analytical, quantitative with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines
• Good analytical and organization skills
• Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skill

The incumbent is responsible to :

• Ensures medication management in own area of work is efficient, zero-wastage and inaccordance with best professional practices
• Reviews medication orders (medication chart or prescription) for appropriateness and intervenes with prescriber or follows up where necessary

• Perform Pressure Studies and Vascular Ultrasounds
• Provide preliminary Vascular Diagnostic Investigation reports for clinicians
• Assemble, check, operate and maintain vascular diagnostic lab equipment and instruments based on hospital and manufacturer’s established guidelines and procedures

The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the Nursing Department. May handle confidential information from time to time and maintains strict confidentiality.

• Provides administrative and operational support to the Nursing Department
• Supports regular Nursing Department meetings/ trainings by making logistics arrangements.
• Process and handle finance transactions, payment and claims
• Makes arrangements for and co-ordinates meetings or events convened by the Nursing Department, and for catering requirements when necessary
• Collates and updates tracking sheets, budget, and any other clerical support to Nursing Department
• Requisites and monitor utilization of office supplies in the Nursing department
• Supports in Training and Development - coordinate department training internal/external course and provide logistics support for training setup
