Responsibilities:

1. Actively lead the accounting function, ensuring timely period end close, preparation and submission of reports, review of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations. Ensure all month end journals are recorded, and management reports prepared and submitted on time.

2. Review all intercompany reconciliations, oversee the management and resolution of discrepancies.

3. Oversee the Accounts Payable function, cashflow projections and payment runs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy/ACCA with at least 5 years in a related role. Good knowledge of GST, withholding tax and corporate tax.

The Department is the only Southeast Asian Studies department at a world-class university located in Southeast Asia itself, a distinction that provides faculty with unique research access as well as ensuring a highly diverse student body.

We seek a scholar who specialises in one or more of the following fields: digital and media studies (including digital humanities); science, technology, and society; economics (particularly with a focus on the political economy, ASEAN regionalism and/or China-Southeast Asia relations), and/or religious studies. The disciplinary focus is broad, as we are particularly interested in applicants whose research and teaching are multi- or inter-disciplinary. The Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) Programme aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. The key outcome of the research will be the early identification of new pathogens, out of which new diagnostic tests, treatments and control strategies will be developed.

The laboratory of Immunotherapy in HBV Infection within the EID Programme is focused on the study of immune response of Hepatitis B and the liver microenvironment. The laboratory is also at the forefront in developing T-cell receptor (TCR) cell therapy against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recently, the laboratory is actively involved in studying the immune responses in SARS-CoV1, SARS-CoV2 and other emerging viral diseases.
