Our client is a newly established subsidiary company that is primarily engaged in the trading of technological apparel. Its parent company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
They are seeking a HR and Finance Executive to join their pioneer team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in both the HR and Finance operations. You will assist in day-to-day employee management, payroll processing, and financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate is highly organised, analytical, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update HR policies for the company
- Ensure compliance with Singapore labour laws and regulations
- Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records.
- Manage recruitment process, including: drafting and posting job advertisements; coordinating interviews and managing candidate communications; assisting in candidate shortlisting and reference checks; preparation of employment contract; and onboarding of new hires
- Manage employee leave and benefits administration
- Manage performance review process
- Drive employee engagement and staff development initiatives such as training, team-building
Finance Responsibilities
- Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable
- Process expense reports and reimbursements
- Help prepare financial statements and reports
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and filed
- Assist in the preparation of documents for audits
- Reconcile bank statements and track financial transactions
- Support daily finance operations, including data entry and record-keeping
Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate with external vendors for office supplies and service contracts
- Support the management and company in any other adhoc administrative tasks
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role i.e. HR, Finance, Administration, preferably in a SME or start-up environment.
Skills:
- Good working knowledge of Singapore labour laws and HR practices
- Strong familiarity with financial accounting principles
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HR software and accounting software (e.g. SAP) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage HR-related matters
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Language ability:
- Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and confident to communicate in written Chinese, to be able to liaise with and collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and China
- Proficient in spoken and written English
Attitude:
- Proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and develop professionally and is keen to play a key role in contributing to the growth of the company
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses a collaborative mindset; understands the importance of building and maintaining relationships with internal team and external stakeholders
