The associate clinical research coordinator is responsible for working closely within the Research and Translational Innovation team (RTIO), stakeholders and external parties of the SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH) with the following key responsibilities:

• Assist in screening, study recruitment, obtaining informed consent and conducting relevant research activities in accordance to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA)
• Perform research data collection and home visits according to research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and specific procedures depending on study needs.
• Clean, prepare and calibrate research equipment as needed by studies and as per SOPs and SCH Infection Control policies.
• Manage research study database; ensure accuracy and completeness of all data collected in study reports.
• Perform other related duties additional to the work described herein.

Requirements

• Diploma in a field related to the study
• Prior experience in clinical/ research setting and in performing physical assessments and data collection will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
• Meticulous, responsible and punctual
• Possess ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Source and negotiate with vendors for office maintenance, flights, accommodation, etc
• Purchase of stationery, office and pantry supplies
• Keep track of office assets, monthly office expenses and verification of supplier invoices
• General HR operation tasks, including employee's confirmation and other HR processes
• Coordination and preparation for staff training
• Support recruitment, reviewing and shortlisting of resumes, interview arrangements etc.
• Support in applying EP and S-Pass and WP for foreign workers
• Onboarding administration including setting up email accounts, IT equipment/softwares and work desk arrangement
• Support in implementing and improving HR policies and programmes

Who we are looking for:

• A candidate who holds a Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• Has a minimum of 3 years working experience in Human Resource and Administriative activities
• A strong team player with good communication and administrative skills, at the same time being meticulous
• Has a systematic and organised approach to work
• Possesses a "Can-Do" attitude and has a proactive approach towards work
• Able to communicate (verbal/written) soundly in English is a must. Candidates with literacy skill of other languages will be highly regarded
• Possess excellent PC literacy, especially in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Having experience with CRM software will be advantageous.

The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) shall assist all levels of Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs and above), in coordinating clinical research.

The ACRC has to ensure that trial- related work is conducted and recorded in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, all applicable regulatory requirements and the Clinical Trials Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as instructions from her superiors.

You will support and assist in the following trial related activities:

• Take over trials that have completed treatment phase or trials that involve few simple procedures.
• Data collection and management including resolving data discrepancies, tracking of trial expenditures and timely invoicing (where applicable), etc.
• Administering quality of life questionnaires or any other surveys as and when required.
• Performing trial procedures which include taking and recording patients’vital signs performing ECGs; collecting data; other trial-related procedures.
• Collection and delivery of biological specimens eg blood, urine and tissues whenever necessary.
• Inventory of study materials such as laboratory kits, patient diaries and case report forms to ensure adequate supplies are maintained to conduct the trials.
• Collection of medical records or duplicate radio-diagnostic films and ensuring that the items are collected in accordance with specific request forms.
• Managing the Clinical Trials Office’s Medical Records Trolley and the transportation of medical notes in the Trolley between Medical Records Office and the Clinical Trials Office. The ACRC shall also assist other CTO staff to obtain medical notes and other source documents.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Life Sciences/Nursing
• Proficient at performing venepuncture for blood specimen collection
• 2 years of related working experience an advantage
• Knowledge in cannulation would be an added advantage
• Good time-management and communication skills
• Able to work independently and detailed oriented
• Computer literate
