Project Scope

The project “Zero-G wells: a 3D tissues growing platform for human tissue regeneration study in microgravity conditions” is aimed at studying the effects of gravitational forces on the regulation of cell and tissue homeostasis. To this end, we will engineer an advanced version of our JeWells platform [1] which allows the growth of thousands of organoids in parallel while maintaining full access for standard and advanced microscopies. The effects of mechanical unloading will be tested on different biological models by subjecting them to conditions of hypo- and hyper-gravity. We will make use of simulation tools (with e.g. a Random Positioning Machine, RPM), and 0-g parabolic flight conditions; these experiences will also give the necessary feedback to prepare our set-up in compliance with the experimental conditions and policies required to apply for access to the International Space Station (ISS).

skills and experience required

You must be called to the Bar in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
At least 3 years of Post Qualifying Experience
Prior experience in legal areas related project financing, infrastucture and energy sectors are favourable
Inquisitive, ambitious and independent minded candidates are desirable
Prior cross border dealings are an advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the management and line managers to provide HR advisory, support and delivery of full spectrum HR matters
• Partner with hiring managers on hiring needs, ensure efficient onboarding and off-boarding of employees
• Develop fair HR policies and ensure employees understand and comply by them
• Assess training needs, coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees, and administer grant applications
• Administer performance management exercise (quarterly/annually) and proactively seek to improve current work processes
• Design compensation and benefits packages
• Drive employee engagement initiatives
• Maintain accurate HR database and up-to-date employees’ records
• Manage periodical surveys required by government agencies
• Support on HR departmental projects and other administration work

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in HR or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experiences
• Strong knowledge in local HR practices, employment law and regulations
• Pleasant personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, and a proactive team player
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Chinese Language Tutor

Location : Hougang
Working days: 5 days (Wednesday to Sunday)
Centre is off on Monday & Tuesday
Working hours : 44 hours per week ;

Wednesday 10 am–7 pm

Thursday - Friday 2:30–9:30 pm

Weekends 8 am–6:30 pm

Salary : $2,600 - $3,500 (Primary levels will be $3k and below ; Secondary levels will be above $3k)

Duties:

• To teach Mandarin language classes in accordance with the Centre’s programme.
• To keep up-to-date records of all classes and material.
• To attend staff meetings, parents appointments and meetings as and when necessary
• To liaise with parents where necessary.
• To help develop new programmes where required.

Requirements:

• Diploma / degree in Chinese Language .
• Teaching experience would be advantage.

Site Safety cum Project Coordinator

Working days: 5.5 days
Working hours: Mon - Fri 8.15am - 5.15pm , Sat 8.15am - 1pm
Salary: $2500 - $3000
Location: Tuas South (Company Transport from Boon Lay MRT)

Requirements:

• Prefer Workplace Safety & Health (WSHO) certificate or relevant certification.
• Class 2 driving license.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare safety document (RA, MS, SWP, FPP).
• Arrange SIC.
• Renew OSHAH.
• Submission of document to relevant authorities.
• Site survey, coordination, and meeting.
• Support Workplace safety matter at job site and perform relevant duties as and when assigned by the superior.
• Maintain proper records and documents required by the relevant authority.
• HDB, MOM matter.
• Lifting gear renewal.
• Dormitory matter and house keeping.
• Other ad-hoc duties.
