The opportunity

Our Financial Services Transaction Diligence team aims to assist clients throughout the entire transaction process, and works closely with other specialists both within TAS and other Service Lines. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of our work, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with strategic assessment, transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion processes.

Typically, you will analyse the financial results of financial services companies (e.g. banks, insurers, asset manager and FinTechs) targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and participating in interviews with key management of the company. Purpose of the Role

A&O Shearman in Singapore is a hub for the firm’s work across South-east Asia, with our Singapore office an intrinsic part of the firm’s Asia Pacific network. Our history in Singapore spans 30 years. We were in the first batch of international firms to be granted a Singapore Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licence in 2008. In providing clients with the highest quality Singapore, U.S. and English legal advice, we are able to leverage our strength in local law capability to manage the more complex deals with Singapore law elements. The team predominantly advises on cross-border financings across all Southeast Asian jurisdictions, India and on deals across the broader Asia Pacific region. The group has a particular focus on leverage finance, acquisition finance, private equity driven finance, property/real estate finance, project finance, share-backed finance and general corporate financings. The team is consistently ranked tier 1 across all of the major legal directories. Role requirements

• Qualified layer with a minimum of 2 to 5 PQE with cross border banking experience.

Responsibilities:

• Event Management: Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, from pre-event preparation to on-site execution and post-event wrap-up. You'll ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage all logistical aspects, including transportation, equipment rentals, and on-site setup and dismantling. You'll keep everything moving seamlessly.
• Vendor Oversight: Work with various vendors and logistic agencies to ensure quality and timelines are met. Build and maintain strong relationships while negotiating costs.
• Production Supervision: Oversee production from start to finish, ensuring quality and safety throughout the process.
• Technical Support: Handle technical requirements, including audio, video, lighting, and electrical setups.
• Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during event setup and execution, providing swift and effective solutions.
• Team Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams in projects and design divisions to ensure smooth event coordination.
• Safety Compliance: Coordinate risk assessments, safety regulations, and process management documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience in event operation.
• Willing to work on weekend.
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks, even in challenging weather conditions.
• Enjoys engaging with clients and team members, excelling in event coordination and hands-on activities.
