JOB DESCRIPTION: PROJECT MANAGER

Under limited supervision, and working with the designers, clients and contractors, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of those projects under his purview.

• Degree in Project Management
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in the interior design industry.
• Site experience is a must; candidates with experience as site supervisors will also be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make certain that the Client’s “journey” (overall process and experience) is as pleasant as his “destination” (completed project).
• Pre-empt and address issues before they become problems.
• Oversees all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects; monitors and coordinates work performed by engineering, and construction firms, as well as coordinate with architect on submission to statutory bodies and state; submission to building management.
• Set high level of standards in the completeness of project documentation which includes all necessary reports and correct use of filing protocol.
• Chairs and minutes site/project meetings
• Review and control project schedule and advise of changes.
• Understands clearly and completely client’s requirements and expectations.
• Participates in the formulation of design alternatives, solutions to provide better cost solutions and estimates.
• During Design Development and Construction Documentation phases - reviews drawings with the Designer and Documentation Team Supervisor for quality, buildability and coordination, and proposes necessary revisions where appropriate.
• When working on a Design/Build project, to diligently carry out cost estimates and value engineering with the QS and Designer to meet best possible margin.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions. Clarify methods of construction/details while the project is on site. Resolve site issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Verify the issuance of purchase orders, and change orders, and approve contractor invoices for payment.
• To supervise, develop and mentor project executives
• Arrange and head the tender process
• To ensure the finalization of the project is seamless and final accounts and defects from Practical Completion are completed within 14 calendar days.
• To help develop additional work and scope from the client.

Information Technology (IT) Operation

• Manage information technology and computer systems

• Training. Ensure training is provided and work with the training group to assist in development of training materials as required.
• Competency Management. Keep employees’ technical knowledge up to date and propose training plans for each team member. Ensure that all the issues are well matched to the capability of the individuals within the team.
• Train and coach staff within the operation team.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with networking security, cyber security or related work
• Understanding and experience in Microsoft, Windows or related operating systems
• Good experience with IT infrastructure, hardware & systems software and information security
• Strong technical IT operations knowledge in server virtualization, disaster recovery, server backups and storage management.
• Experience in implementation and management of enterprise systems.
• Strong vendor, service level and project management skills.
• Strong communications skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively perform problem isolation and resolution of critical systems in order to have the least amount of impact and downtime
