As an Accounting and Tax Associate, you will be assisting with managing relationship and securing contracts with international subcontractors, analysing margin, verifying scope and assist the Accounting and Tax service team with engagements.

In a nutshell, providing support to the Accounting & Tax Department and Renewal / Billing Department to formalise business proposals and complete Client's renewal engagements.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Assisting to project manage complex book-keeping, audit and other engagements for our multi-national Clients’;
• To timely, accurately and completely discharge multi-national Clients’ legal, accounting, audit, and tax obligations including reporting obligations in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, Japan, New Zealand and so on;

• Establishing, maintaining and (when applicable) terminating business relationships with the suppliers and affiliated partners;
• Assessing the ability of the suppliers to supply those services in a satisfactory manner, in compliance with regulations and our organisation's standard of service;
• Preparing high quality quotation which will be subsequently used by our Inhouse Accounting team to issue an invoice. Quotation should include i) detailed summary of services ii) detailed description of each service iii) margin calculation iv) upcoming government filing deadlines;
• Skilfully negotiate and agree on the fees and terms with our international subcontractors;
• Secure agreements with new service providers and replacing existing contracts providing low quality service;
• Draft high quality emails and communicate with Clients in a professional manner following our organisation’s standards;

Skills and Experience

• Has excellent command of English written and oral communication skills.
• Basic tax & accounting and compliance knowledge;
• Strong understanding of regulatory filing obligations for commercial companies in 2-3 countries;
• Prior work experience in Audit / Assurance / Consulting / Billing / Account Receivables / Debt collection is an advantage;

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage & provide internal reports on Associates headcount movement & Client’s growth.
• Provide monthly reminder for client holders for Contracts and Work Pass Due.
• Manage end to end onboarding & offboarding formalities.
• Assist in Work Pass Application/Renewal, Contracts extension, termination, resignation, reference checks, leave & claims requests, contractor bonuses.
• Help in the handling of contractor’s disciplinary & grievance issues.
• Provide HR advisory services as required to internal Consultants and Associates.
• Liaise with the payroll team to resolve contractor timesheet & claims issues.
• Liaise with payroll & finance team to resolve client billing issues, overpayments etc.

Business Partnering

• Business partnering and decision-making support for driving performance to achieve strategic and financial objectives
• Process Lead for strategic and annual planning, forecasting & performance management
• Drive for strong collaboration within Asia Region finance team – coach and train Asia Finance community for FPA deliverables
• Take leadership to optimize cross functional processes and collaboration to maximize impact on business, customers and teams

Business Partner for the Alliance Cluster

• Act as key business partner to Strategic Alliance group which manages all export markets, support product launch analysis, work with commercial lead on pricing strategy to ensure sustainable profitability

Management Reporting

• Ownership of reporting suites for Santen Asia. Managing and consolidating reports in monthly /quarterly /yearly cycles. Responsible for commentary to assist commercial teams to get insight of the reporting cycles
• Implement and drive monthly financial review process at country level and champion its standardization
• Perform monthly forecast, annual budgeting, analyze data, variance analysis, consolidate commentaries for actuals and forecasts, support monthly reviews and provide valuable input for decision making
• Work across departments and countries to prepare budgets and consolidate them into one overall corporate budget
• Propose and drive cost saving initiatives to business/functions at business unit level

Project Management

• Support Head of Finance, Asia and partner with business and functional teams in projects and strategic initiatives such as new business models, system implementation
• Lead and drive ad-hoc projects, as and when assigned

Finance System Control

• Develop front-end planning and reporting platform which is sanctioned by Global Finance
• Harmonize expense line items, ensure standardization of expense reporting code between ERP, Reporting Module alignment across Asia Region + Countries + Global Finance team
• Maintain and own process of Santen Asia reporting system. Act as the key user and point of contact between corporate HQ and regions to coordinate and implement upgrades and escalations point for systems issues
• Assist in the implementation of Global FP&A projects, contribute to setting of new Global, Region and Country KPI(s)
• Identify and implement KPI(s), performance management tools to measure and track business performance in the Region

The Humanities and Social Science Books arm of Taylor & Francis (Routledge) is looking for an organised, methodical and motivated Editorial Assistant to join our books editorial team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a thorough introduction to the academic book publishing process in a demanding role where the assistant will be working on a range of academic books in social science and humanities.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide administrative support to the Book Commissioning Editors.
• Assist the Editors in sending proposals for review, drawing up author contracts and, chasing reviews during the book proposal process.
• Provide pre- and post-publication care to authors, including chasing authors to deliver manuscripts, advising on permissions and copyright queries, and checking and passing manuscripts to production.
• Keep author and project databases up to date, organising author book promotion flyers and sending gratis copies to authors and contributors.
• Act as the main point of contact for numerous authors and internal departments.

• Create & maintain all E-commerce platforms content, marketing and maintenance for all social media platforms and company website.
• Creating concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations and production communication materials, like online advertisements or promotions.
• conduct product listing, price points and inventory levels.

Requirements:

• GCE O level and above
• At least 2 years of experience in doing graphic design.
