THE INTERNATIONAL RUBBER STUDY GROUP (IRSG)

The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) is an inter-governmental organisation with the main objective of improving the transparency of the world rubber markets and strengthening international cooperation on rubber issues. The IRSG is the biggest worldwide community in the rubber economy. The IRSG is recognized as an International Body through the negotiation of a Headquarter Agreement with the Government of the United Kingdom in 1978. The IRSG has 35 Member Governments including European Union (28 Countries), Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Russia, Cote D’ Ivoire, Nigeria, and Cameroon. Subsequently, a new Headquarter Agreement with the Government of Singapore was signed in 2008. The IRSG Secretariat is based in Singapore.

The mission of the IRSG is to be the world’s authoritative source of statistical data and forecasts for all aspects of the world rubber industry, including production, consumption and trade in rubber and rubber products. The seminal purpose of the secretariat is to prepare current estimates and forecasts of future supply and demand trends while undertaking statistical and economic studies on specific aspects of the industry to continually improve its value-added service to stakeholders. Furthermore, as the only intergovernmental organisation bringing together the world’s rubber-producing and consuming stakeholders, the IRSG strives to provide an effective forum for the discussion of matters affecting the supply and demand for synthetic rubber and natural rubber.

(A) JOB DESCRIPTION

(1) PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL

The incumbent will act in this capacity as Personal Assistant to the Secretary-General, acting as a sounding board for ideas and ensuring enhanced efficiency and structure across the organisation. S/he is also expected to provide strategic advice and guidance on key developments within the organisation and ensure the appropriate policy approaches are developed to meet IRSG’s mission and objectives. As a result of developing and maintaining research, s/he would be expected to develop initiatives that ensure that IRSG acts as a catalyst for the rubber sector and collaborates with stakeholders on developing evidence-based approaches and support. The incumbent will provide input on strategy and ensure organisational goals are achieved in a well-coordinated, team-oriented manner.

S/he should be able to accurately reflect the Secretary-General’s position in internal and external meetings to help drive understanding of her views. Moreover, s/he works behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are brought to the Secretary-General. S/he equally ensures Secretary-General’s time is leveraged most effectively in a meeting context; ensuring meeting objectives are realistic and preparations are appropriate.

Work in close cooperation with the Secretary-General and contribute to initiatives for management improvement by capturing, institutionalizing, and sharing best practices and lessons learned. Implement and/or recommend management improvements to enhance productivity and performance including the implementation of cost-saving strategies.

(2) CONTRIBUTION TO RESOURCE MOBILIZATION EFFORTS OF THE IRSG SECRETARIAT

Work with the Secretary-General and the Secretariat in mobilizing resources and engage in building partnerships with donor and member countries, UN agencies, development financial institutions and global programme partnerships, at global, regional, and country levels.

Under the supervision of the Secretary-General, the incumbent supports overall effort to build partnerships, reporting functions, and mobilize an appropriate and sustainable funding base for IRSG from traditional and non-traditional sources. S/he will support the Secretary-General in developing partnerships building, donor mapping, and resource mobilization strategy, tools and procedures and coordinates their implementation including development of quality proposals, presentation and briefing papers to donors.

(3) PERFORMS ANY OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED

The Assistant Corps Leader is expected to strive for the substantial progress of the corps, not being content for things to just be maintained.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Soul winning – to work towards the conversion of the unsaved of the local community, irrespective of their attendance at Army meetings.
2. Lead meetings and special events giving the opportunity for people to come together during the week for fellowship, prayer, Bible Study and training in salvation warfare. Provide regular opportunities for those not connected to the corps to hear and respond to the gospel. To conduct funeral wakes & cremations services when required.
3. Undertake Pastoral Care providing effective care and visitation to both the saved and the unsaved.
4. Nurture (disciple) the soldiers, recruits, adherents, Junior Soldier’s and new believers of the Corps ensuring there is an intentional and identifiable discipleship plan in place for all ages of the corps. This must include members being educated in Biblical insight, theology, Salvation Army doctrine and personal application through preaching and teaching.
5. Soldiership (Senior and Junior) is to be promoted as a meaningful response and expression of being in a covenant relationship with God. Therefore,the corps leader will conduct soldier preparation classes at regular times.
6. The Assistant Corps Leader should strive to identify and develop candidates for Officership supporting them through all stages of the process.
7. Identify and train local officers, Sunday school workers, youth leaders and cell groups leaders.
8. Coordinate Sunday School activities;youth activities and cell group activities.
9. Engage in corps community out-reach activities.
10. Ensure the smooth running of Corps dealing with all difficulties that arise amongst the Salvationists or are created by outsiders.
11. Manage the property used in connection with corps operations, finance relating to local, territorial and international appeals and general corps business including the proper keeping of books and records (including statistics).
12. Develop short and long-term goals for development, growth and soldier- making in line with the Territorial Strategic Mission Plan.
13. Promote The Salvation Army’s mission and values. Teaching and imparting a practical understanding of the Doctrines of The Salvation Army.
14. Ensure that you and all those in your Corps who work with children are trained in the Territory’s Child Protection Policy.
15. Any other duties as directed by Army leaders from time to time.

• Provide postoperative instructions as directed by dentists
• Upkeep and maintain dental equipment, facilities and facade
• Form preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
• Order dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory
• Receive and record dental supplies, liaison with suppliers
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions
• Counter duties like booking of appointments, answering phone calls and enquiries, cashiering, submission of claims, scanning of documents

Requirements
