• Support the preparation of detailed analysis, journal entry bookings and monthly/quarterly reconciliations to the general ledger, including bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Assist in the management of monthly GL entries
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and other financial plans for management information and group reporting
• Assist with annual GAAP and Statutory financial statements
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and vendors

Operations

• Assist with policy processing
• Assist with premium and receivable reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Assist with bordereaux processing for proportional deals and it’s corresponding analysis

• Claims processing
• Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of reported claims
• Liaise with brokers and underwriters to ensure information is captured accurately and on a timely basis
• Liaise with global reinsurance operations and claims teams to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure processes are efficient and meet S.O.X. 404 requirements

Strategic Projects

• Perform adhoc accounting projects and provide support to the global Finance team as needed

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A university degree preferred, or comparable experience
• A minimum of 3 years relevant prior experience in the reinsurance industry
• Applies strong technical skills to achieve results.
• Prioritises responsibilities, makes effective use of time and remains flexible to changing work needs/ demands.
• Clearly and concisely presents information in group settings adapting messages to the needs of the audience and effectively responds to Q&A.
