Founded in 2020, Antina is a JV between Starhub Mobile and M1 and is responsible for the rolling out of the 5G Standalone (SA) Radio Access Network (RAN) in Singapore for the two mobile network operators.
The Standalone 5G (SA) RAN is a game-changing ultra-high speed, low-latency network, and one which will enable new use cases across entertainment, cloud gaming, transportation, education and healthcare. 5G is used across three main types of connected services, including enhanced mobile broadband, mission-critical communications, and the massive IoT.

Non-standalone 5G (NSA) was the first stage of 5G, using a new 5G radio (or 5G NR) access network overlaid on an existing 4G LTE network core. Standalone (SA) 5G uses the 5G NR access network on a brand new 5G network core. Both approaches provide value, but many of the most exciting new features and innovative use cases of 5G can only be realized through a standalone 5G network.

Purpose

The primary role of our Operations Engineer is to monitor and maintain 3.5GHz C-Band RAN systems to ensure operational efficiency and continuity for the company’s business.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Carry out 24 x 7 daily monitoring of the 3.5GHz C-Band RAN systems’ faults and alarms.
2. Issue trouble tickets and tracked the fault resolution to ensure that any fault raised is responded to and resolved within the agreed SLA.
3. Coordinate with StarHub and M1 to develop, implement and maintain processes/procedures for daily operations, system configuration and maintenance activities.
4. Coordinate with StarHub and M1 to assess, plan, align, schedule and implement Change Request (CR) raised by StarHub and M1.
5. Generate monthly network performance and usage reports or any ad hoc reports upon request by StarHub and M1.
6. Coordinate and work with the equipment vendor, StarHub and M1 to test all gNode B software upgrade and patches with their respective 5G Core Network to ensure end to end compatibility.
7. Coordinate with equipment vendor, StarHub and M1 to schedule a mutually agreed timeline to load the software upgrades/patches to the live network.
8. Administer all system and user management functions of the 5G RAN OSS, which includes managing the access right of StarHub's, M1's and the equipment vendors, performing software and hardware upgrades, security functionalities and system maintenance (such as database maintenance).
9. For 5G Exploratory Platform (5GEP), to be the interface with IMDA to update on changes to network configurations, software versions and procedures.
10. Coordinate with StarHub and M1 to support project implementation and network expansions.
11. Interface with vendors and contractors on all operational and project support activities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. New graduate with NITEC, Diploma or Degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Telecommunication or related qualification or possess at least two years of related working experience.

Technical Skills:

1. Preferable to have some knowledge in telecommunication networks, knowledge of cellular network would be an advantage.

Job Description:

• Support the handshake between development team (i.e. NPD, New Product Development) and NPI for the assigned portfolio, by making sure that all results, reports and deliverables are reviewed and available.
• Coordinate with engineering and product management departments and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products which includes planning, scheduling, and monitoring of material movements through the workflow process to meet build schedules. Analyzes and anticipates project material requirements to ensure required materials are properly forecasted and driven. Resolves material supply issues.
• Monitors and ensures NPI cycle goals are met, including provision of shortage reports, navigating deviations. Communicates on-time delivery, delays, and/or changing priorities for NPI lots to all stakeholders.

• Support Operations during the first stages of the volume ramp up.
• Prepare and update the product data base for new products and ensure its correctness.
• Liaise with preceding production sites delivering wafers into BE2 regarding meeting and monitoring of committed throughput times, optimization of shipment flow - seamless transition between BE1 and BE2 without impact by warehouse and production restrictions (opening hours, limited support on weekends etc.).
• Determine at BE1/2 sides reasons for shortcomings in committed delivery times, address and resolve non-technical or non-fundamental technical issues directly with BE1/2 sites as first line of defense and channel recurring or fundamental system or technology shortcomings into the correct support channels (e.g. NPI or Technology team in San Diego).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

• 3+ years of experience creating, scheduling, and maintaining program plans, planning and coordinating materials, production operations, or engineering project development.
