Job Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day L2 support of banking application software. In case any errors are detected by the bank operations department (L1 support), you are required to find the recovery solution, working together with your colleagues, the outsourcing vendor, the bank IT department, and the counterparty of the head office, if necessary. This may involve overtime work if issues arise after business hours or on weekends.
• Once the bank decides to launch a project for change request functions raised by users, or dealing with End of Life scenarios such as operating systems, database management software, and hardware, you will take on the role of project manager.
• You are expected to manage team members, multiple vendors, and service providers to complete all tasks as required and planned.
• You are expected to proceed with projects by resolving issues, controlling vendors and resources, managing schedules, and preparing reports for management, the bank, and the head office for approval if required.
• You are required to strictly comply with the Mizuho Development Policy and Procedures.
• Coordinate all processes to ensure smooth progress for the bank and developers, vendors, and the head office's relevant development team

Requirements:

• At least 3 year working experience as application software project manager or engineer in banking IT sector.

Other requirements/ skills:

• We seek chief application IT engineer who has following experience, knowledge, and skills:

1. Working experience of application project management at banking IT sector.
2. Developing experience of bank settlement application (SWIFT, GIRO and FAST etc.)

• Knowledge and experience in Java, Oracle and .net, JP1
• Knowledge and experience in HULFT, MQ, SFTP, VMware technology, or network administration will be an advantage.
• Ability to interact effectively across all levels, including the bank IT department, the bank user department, outsourcing vendors, member of head office, will help the candidate perform successfully in the role.
• Coordination skills to handle various parties, such as both local and international clients, vendors and counterparts.
• Certificate of PMP would be advantage.

More than 10 years of experience in banking domain with the last 5 years till current is in IT Tech Risk/IT Tech Control or IT Compliance capacity

• Working Knowledge of IT security, Risk Management and Security Control and experience in designing IT test steps to determine IT control effectiveness

Certification (either of the following)

• Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)

• Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

• ISO27001 Certified auditor

Responsibility:

• Establish and upkeep the list of Checklists on IT Operations, Technology Projects and IT Security with respect to the current processes/procedures defined.

• Plan and initiate IT Controls Checking Assignment with stakeholders and process owners in accordance with the IT Controls Objectives.

• Highlight areas of non-compliance and ensure required mitigation by teams

• Understand overall IT risk profile to identify and prioritize areas of improvement/ risk mitigation to define an improvement/ mitigation roadmap

• Engage with stakeholders to socialize/ plan out the roadmap and form core teams for mitigation

The Job

• Collate and manage all the details regarding the application for the assigned business vertical
  – information could span from details of systems interfacing, content of the various data being posted, data held within the application etc.
• Support user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities.
• Clear understanding the scope of the project, the changes associated and support the Project Manager in impact assessment. Clearly document the rationale for projects where no impact is assessed.
• For project where there is an impact, play a governance role in ensuring that the design (in terms of the level of information required from source to core processing is aligned with the strategic data flow strategy.
• Collate and rationalise all stakeholders’ requirements and walkthrough these requirements with team
• Actively partnering with the team in the solutioning process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are thought through from a long term, standardization, design for no operations, front-end configuration perspective.
• Assess and propose appropriate testing approach and sign off criteria to stakeholders and get concurrence.
• Overall UAT management in terms of UAT timeline, batch run/ re-run and managing the tester’s testing result.
• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach in accordance with predefined template.

NTU is leveraging learning analytics to improve teaching and learning as part of our Education Strategy 2025. This position is similar in nature to a business analyst but for advancing the use of data for teaching and learning purposes. The position is critical for developing a communication plan to get faculty and students buy-in on the learning analytics goals of the university. He or she would also be responsible for gathering faculty, students and schools’ teaching and learning needs, and translating the needs into meaningful learning analytics solutions. In addition, he or she is expected to have some technical competency in SQL, python and/or SharePoint, and to support the administration of key system Dataiku in compliance with the data and AI governance policy of the university.

Responsibilities

Communication, engagement and collaboration opportunities

• Conceptualise and execute a communication plan for learning analytics with various units in the university
• Engage students and support faculty champions to increase acceptance and adoption of learning analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business Analytics or Data Science and related fields
• At least two years of experience as a business analyst or experiences working on data related project
• Prior experience working in a university setting is highly preferred
• Proficient in statistics,
• Some knowledge of machine learning approaches and AI approaches including discriminative and generative
• Some idea of the various data governance framework issued by PDPA
• Strong communication and networking skills
• Strong ability in translating user needs into a data science problem
• Good understanding of data science or analytics and governance
• Good technical skills such as python programming, system administration
