GEMS Research Programme Manager (2 years' Contract role)
The SGX Research Team is looking for a Programme Manager who will champion efforts and provide overall support to run an industry-wide research programme grant scheme – Research Grant under the Grant for Equity Market Singapore Scheme (GEMS). This is aimed at scaling up research coverage of mid/small caps listed on SGX.
In addition to running the administration of the grant scheme, the individual is also expected to drive distribution of content output generated from the scheme and support in activities and projects of the broader SGX Research & FinLit Team. The Research & FinLit team in the Equities unit is responsible for research content generation on the Singapore equities market, investor education and outreach initiatives/activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Admission and Monitoring of Programme
o Maintain a registry of applicants/participating FIs/research platforms who have signed up for the programme. Ongoing monitoring of produced output and verifying against respective programme KPI requirements
o Manage documentation and contractual agreements for participating FIs, research platforms and candidates on the programme mechanics/KPIs
o Applicant on-boarding, establish mentorship scheme with senior analysts
o General administration and paperwork
o Curate and engage a list of mid/small cap stocks to be covered as part of programme KPI/output and allocations to the FIs/analysts
o Throughput monitoring (programme KPI requirements)
o Collaborate with independent research platforms on administration matters and content quality management
o Co-ordinate and commission industry/sector reports with third-party research firms
o Source and establish new distribution networks/channels for distribution of research reports
o Manage a dedicated central depository and distribute research reports from the programme and SGX Research (via website portals, institutional and retail distribution channels, etc.)
o Organise targeted research seminars, conferences, events for investors
o Develop ideas and run publicity and marketing of programme (e.g. tie-ups with tertiary institutes, media etc.)
o Conceptualize and drive campaigns to promote the programme by working with both internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Previous experience of programme management, driving promotional campaigns and event organizing/management, ideation/marketing and content distribution, with prior exposure to the financial industry
- Strong written/spoken English communication skills and the ability to build and establish relationships quickly
- Strong sense of commitment, ability to show initiative, resourcefulness and work independently; willingness to take on a variety of roles and responsibilities and learn new skills
- Detailed and solutions oriented - pragmatic and innovative; thorough with acute attention to detail
- Outgoing personality and comfortable in engaging a diverse cross section of stakeholders
- Team player, goal and outcome orientated. Comfortable working with people at all levels – internal and external
