Working Hours :-

• BAU – Monday to Friday, 9AM-6PM
• Sat/Sun – only if there is any release/OS patching/BAU Support for other downstream CR activities
• 24x7 standby on call - only if night batch job failed. BAU duty support is on a 2 weeks cycle on rotation basis with other 4 members

Job Description

1. Administrative/General:

• Be the front-end IT support person for majority of user requests, escalating tickets when necessary to IT Manager
• Be aware of company standards and procedures, and works to improve understanding and enhancing of them.
• Be able to accept and pursue clearly defined objectives.
• Promote proper IT usage and IT Security to the business and users.

2. Operational

• Respond to emails and phone calls regarding desktop and help desk requests
• Record, track, and close tickets through help desk/problem management software
• Assist with the creation of new accounts and editing/termination of existing account in MS Active Directory, mailbox, distribution lists, resetting passwords, etc.
• Troubleshoot/Resolve virus/malware infections
• Get regular direction from the IT Manager
• Work with other broader Phenol Global IT Teams
• Work directly with users at the site to resolve their IT issues and questions.
• Install and provide first-level support and troubleshoot site IT issues – including PC’s, servers, tablets, networks, telecom, AV equipment, printers, copiers, security cameras, security badge readers, smart phones, and site PBX
• Coordinate with service providers to resolve equipment issues.
• Install and provide first-level support for a variety of computer software and utilities like MS-Office
• Assist with the testing of security patches.
• Assist with the reporting and investigation of security incidents.
• Assist with the proper disposal of IT assets.
• Engage external vendors for quotations and renewal quote as directed by IT Manager
• Provide support during planned and unplanned IT outages.
• Respond and troubleshoot automated equipment monitoring alerts.
• Support the site data center environment, conduct periodic safety and security inspections, and participate in IT disaster recover exercises.
• Create and maintain various documentation and help guides
• Provide support for IT projects at the site

3. Strategy & Planning

• Provide input to the site and business IT Management to assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for IT services

You will be part of an IT infrastructure Support Team managing mission critical high-tech biometrics devices at critical locations of significant national interest. You will be trained to manage, troubleshoot and maintain the operational availability of these devices and to remedy faults to prevent operational down-time.

As a IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following :-

• Assist the project teams with setting up, installing, and configuring operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices for PCs/Workstations.
• Provide first level on-site IT support to end-users on a 24x7 rotational shift, including weekends and holidays.
• The successful applicants should be prepared to be deployed primarily at Woodlands Checkpoint. The successful applicant could be deployed to Tuas checkpoint in future on a rotational basis.
• Provide findings and timely status update to the Project Manager on major issues escalated by users.
• Perform daily health check and inventory check on system.

Role Accountability

This role is responsible for supporting Lubrizol’s Information Security Training and Awareness initiatives to elevate the understanding and adoption of a security culture that reduces overall cyber risk to the organization. Participate in the development and delivery of training and educational materials, Lubrizol’s simulated phishing program, all while providing reporting of activity to stakeholders with a respectful understanding of Lubrizol’s multicultural, global background.

Essential Job Functions

• Support the Information Security Training and Awareness program initiatives, following our internal policies and procedures.
• Identify training needs among the various business units supporting Lubrizol and supporting the phishing simulation program as needed.
• Assist with tabulation and reporting of results of training and phishing activities, tracking activity status in a consistently manner.
• Provide a bridge of communication utilizing all channels available to achieve a positive behavioural change.
• Support the Security Ambassadors program across Lubrizol.
