Director of Catering and Conference Services

The Director of Catering and Conference Services will lead and manage the catering team, ensuring efficient execution of events while maximizing revenue and delivering a high-quality experience for all guests. The role also involves active solicitation of new business and collaboration across departments to ensure smooth event operations, all while fostering a motivated and engaged team.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and People Management

• Lead, train, and motivate the Catering team to deliver high-quality events.
• Supervise all aspects of event operations, ensuring flawless execution.
• Develop team members through coaching, performance evaluations, and training.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with staff to troubleshoot and review events.
• Ensure adherence to service standards and guest satisfaction metrics.

Sales and Revenue Management

• Actively solicit and secure new business, including corporate, social, and group events.

• Work with Sales & Marketing and Revenue teams to develop event pricing strategies for related market segments and forecasting.
• Lead sales activities, including responding to inquiries, managing leads, and driving event conversions.

• Work with the Director of Banquet Operations and Executive Chef to monitor and manage Banquet and Food & Beverage expenses and revenues.

Technical and Functional Competencies

• Ability to formulate catering sales manager goals and budget setting.
• Liaise with department heads such as Chefs, Banquet Managers, and Front Office Managers to ensure smooth execution of all Catering and Group events.
• Oversee audio-visual requirements and ensure all logistical aspects of the event are handled efficiently.
• Prepare reports on booking pace, forecasting, month-end analysis, and other relevant metrics.
• Ensure team and relevant operating departments are kept up to date with competitor activities and provide insights on the market when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Administrative Duties

• Ensure all event documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including contracts, proposals, and function sheets.
• Maintain an effective trace and follow-up system for client communication.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and pacing reports.
• Implement standards for space management to avoid conflicts in event setup and breakdown times.

Client Relationship Management

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
• Address and resolve any complaints or issues arising from events.

What You Bring:

• Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire team members.

• 5+ years in Hotel Catering, MICE Sales, or related fields such as Banquet or Rooms Division, preferably in a luxury brand.

About the role

The Senior Payroll Executive is responsible for full spectrum of payroll function including processing of salaries/ wages, pay adjustment, CPF submission, annual tax filing as well as regular headcount & reporting related to payroll, ensuring a high level of data accuracy and compliance. Team Summary

The Risk & Data Solutions team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritisation, development and delivery of Visa’s product roadmap for all risk and data solutions in the Asia Pacific markets in our Value Added Services (VAS) organisation. The team collaborates with local and global stakeholders to develop and scale Visa’s risk and data solutions for our respective markets.

What a Senior Director Risk Solutions does at Visa:

As the Senior Director: Risk Solutions at Visa, you will have responsibility for the strategy and growth of authorisation and authentication risk solutions in Asia Pacific as these relate to card transactions.  You will have end to end ownership of the product suite, including the development and execution of the product strategy, product delivery, go to market and product performance management.  As a strong collaborator, you will work across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups to deliver against strategic objectives.

The candidate will have a strong analytical background and will be responsible for executing macro trading strategies across a range of products. The Execution Trading team form a pivotal part of the Firm’s global investment team and work closely with Portfolio Managers to provide market information, suggest trade ideas and review liquidity.

• Trade execution across the following products: Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Equities: Cash and Derivatives.
• Application and understanding of execution algorithms and EMS
• Analyze large data-sets to guide automation and refinement of execution processes
• Post-trade and end-of-day position reconciliation
• Interface directly with Portfolio Managers, Brokers, Senior Management, Compliance and Risk
• Provide daily market color as well as ad hoc research reports.
• Comply with relevant regulation and procedures.

Experience:

• Execution Trading experience in a similar role within a Bank or Hedge Fund
• Quantitatively focused with strong analytical, investigative, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Deep understanding of fixed income markets and bond math
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Trading experience across multiple markets, geographies, and time zones
• Strong knowledge of execution algorithms
• Data management skills
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Operates with the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
