Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in Media and Communication, Cultural Studies, Public Policy or closely related disciplines, with a specialisation in studying the role of new media in environment, culture, gender and/or work.

Candidates must have an excellent track record in research and teaching, and demonstrate leadership in their fields commensurate with rank.

Candidates with interdisciplinary research and industry expertise, and able to teach broadly into our undergraduate and graduate curriculum in courses such as qualitative research methods, feminist new media and cultural studies, critical informational studies, social computing and strategic communications, are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities will include departmental research leadership, attracting research funding and developing research impact, mentoring junior and mid-level faculty, as well as teaching. Other duties include supervision of honours students and graduate students, and administrative service. The anticipated start date is July 2024. Remuneration is competitive and includes medical, housing, relocation and other benefits. Significant research start-up funding is available if appointed on the tenure track.

The candidate will serve as a project manager to assist in the development of digital information resilience indicators. They will review media regulation frameworks around digital resilience, conduct both quantitative and qualitative research, including survey, interviews, and focus groups, and; support research admin and deliverables such as reports/journal articles, workshops and webinars.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to work on a project about assessing the impact of digital information resilience, funded by the Ministry of Education AcRF Tier 3 grant. The contract is renewable up to 3 years

The successful candidate will assist the funded research project entitled “Digital Information Resilience: Restoring Trust and Nudging Behaviours in Digitalisation”. The candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of scholars based in Singapore to advance research and knowledge on digital information resilience. The project aims to identify and measure digital information resilience for digital readiness, inclusion and safety based on an original indicator framework.

The successful candidate will assist to develop new indicators for measuring digital information resilience. They will conduct interviews, facilitate focus groups, develop and implement surveys, and code the data-sets using qualitative and quantitative research methods. They will also be required to support project management, research admin and deliverables such as reports/journal articles, workshops and webinars.

Qualifications

• At least a PhD or equivalent in the Social Sciences/Humanities, and demonstrated research experience in communications and media studies, including digital media policy and regulation. The laboratory of Presidential Young Professor Liu Yuxin in the Biomedical Engineering Department at National University of Singapore seeks a postdoctoral Research Fellow with strong enthusiasm and interest in flexible electronics, ingestible electronics, bioelectronics, neurotechnology, brain-machine-interface research.

Biological systems are typically soft and highly dynamic with cellular growth and functional self-renewal, while conventional implantable electronics are rigid and unable to intelligently accommodate a complex biological microenvironment, leading to the enormous functional and biomechanical gap at the bio-electronics interface. Through electronic material development and nano/microfabrication innovation, we will develop next-generation electronic materials and microelectronics that mimic the properties of biological tissue, while providing chronic and high-bandwidth communication at human body. In this project, we will develop ingestible electronics for medical applications.

In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek a Senior Java Developer to join our Core Banking IT department which is in charge of developing and maintaining the International Back Office Cash Management System. This information system is deployed in 25 business units all around the world. The system has multiple modules to manage reference data, commercial back office functions (payments, remittances, loans, deposits, guarantees, letters of credit …), accounting, management control and credit risk monitoring. The system caters to local regulatory reporting needs and head office reporting, based on a data warehouse.

The candidate will work to implement new solution for the cash management system of the bank, working in a team with BA, PM, tech Lead and co-developers.

Main responsibilities

In close interaction with the projects stakeholders, you will be accountable for :

• Research, design, and develop software.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions
• The design and implementation a greenfield solution according the functional specifications in a latest Java technologies framework
• The preparation, planning and execution of the roll-out from support to production services. The goal is to obtain a smooth roll-out of the application to different sites.
