Roles and Responsibilities

You will participate in the specification, design and design maintenance of high-tech mechanic system solutions for professional mechatronic equipment, and enable optimal functionality and cost effective engineering of those systems. You will participate in the following phases for system (re)design projects:

• Quotation Phase: create a plan with scope, cost and lead time estimation together with the project team and the customer
• Feasibility phase: consolidate customer requirement specifications into an investigation of the feasibility of mechanical concepts
• Definition Phase: develop Description of System Design Requirements and Specifications.
• System Design Phase: generation of system design concepts and reviews:
• Develop well-considered choices, validated against system requirements
• Definition of high level modules and related technical interfaces
• Monitor that projects stay within agreed specifications.
• Make use of your creativity and helicopter view to find solutions in case of conflicts.
• Detail Phase: create schematics, 3D models and drawings

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electro-mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on motion systems and with experience in high-tech equipment

Overall Accountability:

Main Tasks:
