DC Environment Support

• Shall monitor the facilities infrastructure in the DC to ensure that they are within the operating levels defined by the Customers.
• Power infrastructure (such as Uninterrupted Power Supply and power distribution boards);
• Cooling Infrastructure (such as computer room air-conditioning units);
• Fire detection and suppression systems (such as FM200, water sprinklers, fire extinguishers);
• Environment monitoring system (such as humidity and temperature); and
• Water leakage detection.
• Shall ensure the DC infrastructure is monitored on twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
• The Vendor shall inform the Customer within one (1) hour when problems are detected.
• Shall work with the Customer and Customer-appointed Supplier to resolve any infrastructure issues detected in accordance to the support hours as required by the Customer.

DC Facilities Management Services

• Shall ensure, through daily inspection, that the general cleanliness and tidiness of the data centre are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier.
• Shall work with Customer-appointed Supplier on site preparation tasks such as network cabling and electrical wiring, when required.
• Shall ensure the network cabling in the data centre and within the racks are neat and tidy.
• Shall work with the Customer-appointed Supplier for both scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, servicing, repair and upgrading works to the infrastructure at the Customer’s premises and premises identified by the Customer.
• Shall plan and coordinate the maintenance activities. This includes polling the affected parties, obtaining the Customer’s approval, and sending out messages to inform the affected party.
• Shall obtain the Customer’s approval before finalizing the plan for any activity.
• Shall provide on-site support during the maintenance activities unless otherwise agreed by the Customer.
• Shall maintain up-to-date documentation of the data centre design layouts.

• Proactively provide technical competence in resolving performance issues for customers. Develop and maintain claims handling procedures.
• Work closely with local sales and customer service team to create business value by enhancing product performance and service offering. Develop support solutions to meet customer’s quality and development needs.
• Promote UPM Technical Consultancy. Provide input for product and business intelligence by monitoring industry and product trends, keeping abreast of technological developments.
• Represent UPM at customer print and converting sites and developing multi-level contacts to support sales. Develop network across printing, labelling and packaging industry. Attend trade shows, conferences, and related events.
• Develop strong links within all internal functions and interact with mills in Europe and Asia.
• Collaborate closely with UPM Global Technical Network.
• Assume sales responsibilities as required to meet business needs.

Who you are?

• You have a university degree in a relevant field. Experience and knowledge of printing, label and packaging papers will be an advantage.
• You can deal directly with local customers as well as large MNCs and across cultures and regions.
• You are fluent in written and spoken English, have good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• You are a team player and committed to achieving results.
• You have regional experience in Southeast Asian markets and a willingness to travel.
