RESPONSIBILITIES

General Operations

• Familiar with the objectives of Active Ageing Centre (AAC)
• Compliant to operation rules and guidelines for AAC, ensure safety of elderly and staff
• Promote racial/religious harmony among elderly members
• Assist in care of the elderly, observe and monitor their health and well-being
• Work closely with supervisor to:
• oversee compliance in operations, directives, KPI and all work processes within assigned centres/programmes/projects
• adhere and ensure compliance across the centres according to healthcare directives set by the Management & MOH
• manage crisis and reporting when necessary

Programme Planning and Support

• Support all programmes at 2 centres. This includes attendance tracking, supporting recruitment efforts and related administration

Befriending & Buddying (B&B) Programme

• Provide support to befriendees and befrienders where needed
• Support monitoring efforts and administration

Outreach & Community Screening Tool (CST)

• Administer CPPF, Informed Consent & CST to potential members
• Collate and ensure clients data and CST reports are entered into AIC Acutenet and NUS system in a timely manner for submissions and processing
• Render support to outreach team where necessary

Volunteer Management

• Support IC in coordination and communications. This includes assigning roles to volunteers, support befriending programmes and arranging quarterly gatherings for various volunteer groups
• Upkeep volunteer databases

Information & Referral

• Attend to walk-in, phone and text enquiries and correspondence
• Direct referrals to IC, record details for escalation where needed
• Be familiar with existing social services/programmes and provide service linkage on behalf of clients

Data Management & Administrative Support

• Tracking of AAC KPIs such as administration of CST, programmes participation
• Ensure confidentiality of clients data and all required data duly recorded in the respective data management systems, and documents are filed and organized
• Provide administrative support such as put up claims on financial system in a timely manner. Track expenses and income of selected funded programmes

Centre Operations & Facilities Management

• Ensure smooth and optimal running of the centre. This involves maintenance of fixed assets and its listing. Upkeep of office and IT systems, devices and equipment. Oversee contractual arrangements such as air-con servicing, pest control. Purchase and replenishment of supplies
• Environmental Sanitation Regime work as a team to ensure compliance to cleaning requirements by NEA
• Alert Alarm System (AAS) Management (if applicable). Undertake checks, respond and report according to SOP and enlist support technician where necessary

Ad-hoc/Others

• Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor which may include support in administrative processes, partnership engagements with community partners

Requirements:

• ITE/Diploma in relevant disciplines such as Community Care and Social Service, Gerontology
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a SAC/AAC or have volunteered with seniors in a community setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Required to handle queries/concerns from elderly clients who are mostly mandarin/dialect-speaking. Proficiency in mandarin and/or dialects is essential
• Proficient in IT
• Resourceful, proactive, responsible and client-centric
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong planning and organising skills

Role Purpose:

As the Senior Application Consultant for Sequencing Lab systems, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Molecular Lab business team as well as a network of affiliate application teams through the Asia Pacific network.
• Technical customer support and service for the Sequencing Lab portfolio.
• Establish and retain customer loyalty by answering inquiries about experimental design, the scientific characteristics of our products and by providing advice/ troubleshooting on improving applications results for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Proactively utilize information and internal resources to aid in the resolution of technical issues.
• Synthesize response to inquiries based on research, literature and laboratory experimentation.
• Troubleshoot issues related to users’ technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software and instruments.
• Interpret affiliates’ needs and identify proper issue escalation pathways.
• Align and develop application training plans with stakeholders in Global and APAC affiliates.

In this role, you will:

• Provide expertise knowledge of the products and application to provide a consultative scientific support including assist in product selection, experimental design and workflow optimization.

Qualification and Experience:

• Pactical application experience in providing applications trainings and support in experimental design, troubleshooting and NGS wet lab experience (library prep, PCR and target enrichment).
