St John’s Home for Elderly Persons is a residential Home under the Ministry of Social and Family Affairs. We have been providing quality and compassionate care to seniors for over 65 years. The IT Executive is responsible for the operation and maintenance of IT systems and related infrastructure such as Security access control, Intrusion alert, CCTV, Emergency nurse call, PA/AV, PABX/Intercom, Fire protection, Auto gate, Solar power, Lighting control, GPON, Wireless network and Electronics system.
Objectives of this Role
· Assist in managing the Home in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and guidelines.
· Report to Head of Operation (HOO) on operating issues of IT Infrastructure and systems.
· Support current systems such as Google, Dropbox, Resident Monitoring System, Resident Care System, Microsoft 365, Network Security, St John’s Home web and email hosting and any other systems in the Home.
· Assist in implementing and educating staff on all IT matters related to Home.
· Ensure prompt and quality of service delivery to all stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement IT initiatives in-house. Work with service providers on development of application software (user requirement, hardware/software setup, data migration, UAT and ‘Go Live’ support etc.)
- Monitor IT developments in aged care for possible adoption in the Home.
- Implement, review and enhance the Home data security, privacy and personal data protection policy.
- Ensure security of computers, data, network access and backup systems (IT Business Continuity Plan).
- Monitoring and maintaining computer, database, and network systems with other IT service providers.
- Liaising with service providers on the maintenance of IT and its related infrastructure.
- Running diagnostics on computer systems when necessary, responding to outages or issues, and performing maintenance, repair, and upgrade.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, mobile devices, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Software configurations to support various IT application software such as Resident Care System and Resident Monitoring System.
- Programming user access to IT, security systems, Virtual network and user support where needed.
- Training of staff on usage of IT hardware and software.
- Account for all IT assets included Donation in Kind.
- Provide support including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
· Any other duties that Head of Operation (HOO) may assign.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent.
- Microsoft certification in Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Good understanding of cybersecurity standards, protocols and frameworks, and works in compliance with the Cyber Security Act 2018.
- Knowledge of Cloud services management and provisioning such as Azure AD, Office365 Services, Exchange Services, Endpoint Service.
- Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure technologies and evaluate new technologies to meet current and future business needs.
- Knowledge in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning is an advantage.
- Ability to think and act independently and quickly and effectively solve issues as they arise.
- Ability to able to communicate effectively, multiple tasks and take on new challenge.
- Ability to methodically identify causes of complex issues, evaluate it and develop solutions in collaboration with the team.
