Tropical Marine Science Institute (TMSI) of National University of Singapore (NUS) has an immediate vacancy in the area of regional sea level variability in the warming climate.

The ongoing Project “Understanding the low-frequency variability of coastal sea level in Southeast Asia using a regional ocean model and observations” has been funded by National Research Foundation until 31 July 2025. The successful candidate will be working with a multidisciplinary team of atmosphere and ocean scientists, and particularly be responsible for:

-running NEMO ocean model using past and projected forces provided by the atmospheric team;

-use data analysis and model simulations experiments to understand the mechanism of regional sea level variability driven by large scale atmosphere/oceanic processes.

Depending on qualifications and experience, successful Candidate could be employed at Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow level.

Qualifications

Successful candidate will be having the following demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience:

• Understanding of regional sea level variability and large-scale atmosphere/ocean coupling;
• Understanding of mechanisms of ocean response to the climate change;
• Capability to set and run regional sensitivity experiments using NEMO ocean model;
• Capability to use data analysis methods for ocean dynamics research;
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary team of researchers, including ocean and atmosphere scientists;
• PhD in ocean sciences from a recognised University
• Track records in publications.

Reporting to the Managing Director (Asia), the Senior Flavourist (Asia) based in Singapore is a flavour creation role focusing primarily on the strategic growth segment for the Asia business. The position plays a critical and strategic role in delivering on the region’s growth ambitions by developing winning flavours solutions for our customers and their consumers. The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistants to join our projects in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our projects are primarily focused on exploring the role of neuroimaging in the clinic, facilitated by quantitative analysis including machine learning, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease), with a small focus on brain tumor imaging. The title of the current major project is <Development of a data-driven imaging biomarker for Alzheimer's disease>. The main objective of our ongoing research is to develop and validate data-driven imaging biomarkers to predict the prognosis of Alzheimer's disease dementia in elderly individuals by harmonizing established Alzheimer's disease research datasets and retrospective local institutional datasets.

The primary responsibilities of the Research Assistant will revolve around data management and administrative tasks, as described below:

Key Responsibilities

Database management and basic analysis:

- Download and integrate imaging and other non-imaging data into our research database.

- Perform basic neuroimaging processing and analysis using our existing R / Python pipeline. The role could extend to pipeline customization if the RA shows an interest and aptitude for image analysis work.

Overall Role Purpose:

Job Description

You will help to design and develop Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems and algorithms for our drone systems and be part of a tight-knit team that provides safe, reliable drone systems and quality services to our distinguished customers in Singapore and around the region.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, develop and modify guidance, navigation, and flight control systems and algorithms for our unmanned aircraft systems.
• Develop and modify 6-DOF and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation environments. • Select, test, evaluate and integrate new sensors or navigation systems onto our drone systems.
• Write, modify, and test firmware and flight code that runs on the flight control computers of our drone systems (in C or C++).
• Analyze flight data to verify flight performance and to help to troubleshoot issues that are found during the flights of our drone systems.
• Generate documentation on the specifications, design, test procedures and test results of the GNC systems and algorithms that were developed.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Support ground and flight test activities.
• Work in a collaborative manner with staff in other engineering (e.g. system, software, safety, flight test, etc.) and business groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering, or a field related to GNC.
• Good to have 3+ years of industry or other relevant experience in GNC
• Strong background in system modelling, system identification, parameter estimation, frequency response analysis, classical and modern control theory.
• Experience in system modelling and control, analysis, and simulation in aircraft applications.

• Experience in developing model-based design and analyses using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge in inertial and other type of sensors for navigation (e.g. accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, GNSS receivers, pressure sensors, ranging sensors, etc.)
• Knowledge in Kalman filtering, digital signal processing and sensor data fusion.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming language.
• Proficient in software and development tools such as Linux, ROS and Git.

• Conduct cycle count by comparing physical stock take to the system and highlight and address abnormality.
• Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure they can be reconciled.
• Determine and make provision for slow moving & obsolete stocks in store.
• Tracking of near expiry stocks and highlight to MD .
• Manage reconciliation of damage stocks and aging stocks.
• Manage store transfer and stock adjustment effectively.
• Review the workflow and liaise with the respective department to in place preventive measures to reduce stock loss.
• Resolve any inventory issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare & Submit Weekly Inventory Report to MD
• Assist on internal and external annual audit stock take
• Other Ad Hoc projects or responsibilities as required.
