DFS Controllership is building our team of accounting professionals towards our NextGen Finance vision. The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the Global Controller Business Partner (CBP) team, leveraging new technologies, Process Reengineering, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Data Analytics to create value for the individual and the Company. Additionally, DFS is an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO)) and we believe in developing accounting professionals, investing in people, and facilitating dynamic career moves across various accounting functions such as Global Finance Services (P2P, O2C, Fixed Assets), Consolidation, Management Reporting, and Global Tax.
As a member of the CBP team, the candidate will work closely with our global stakeholders to address accounting queries, ensure timely and accurate reporting and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Early engagement with the divisional/cross-functional team for new initiatives and to guide accounting/compliance activities.
· Identify areas with exposure to risk/potential risk in the designated business divisions and propose mitigating solutions.
· Liaising with internal & external stakeholders and working effectively across cross- functional teams of differing work cultures and timezones to deliver results.
· Analyze monthly financial results and provide explanations and follow-up actions for gaps between Actuals and Budget/Forecast.
· Coordinating and performing a wide range of accounting activities and maintaining an effective internal control interface with external & internal audit agencies.
· Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of financial close within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to International Financial Reporting standards, Local GAAP and DFS’ policies.
· Actively seek out and leverage tools such as PowerAutomate, Blue prism (RPA) and Coupa (Procure2Pay) for continuous improvement by reviewing and analyzing complex processes to reduce cycle time, improve productivity and reduce overall costs.
· Preparing internal schedules and reporting results monthly to the Parent Company (LVMH) through consolidation software (SyRUS).
· Preparing Account Reconciliations using Blackline cloud software and collaborating with various stakeholders to follow up on action items.
· Keep abreast of ongoing accounting and reporting changes in IFRS and local reporting standards.
· Be involved in ad hoc projects as and when assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
· CPA with 4-6 years of experience, preferably with commercial experience.
· Bachelor degree in Accounting
· Strong technical skills (IFRS, GAAP)
· General ledger and consolidation experience preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in multiple software and flexibility to learn new tools.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well independently as well as with all levels of the organization
· Self-motivated, team oriented, resourceful and able to manage multiple priorities.
