Accountant for supermarket business, needs to do full set of accounts, preparation of Audit Schedules etc., also needs to support the business development, operations etc., when other staff on leave, multi tasking is must. Needs to do HR works also, staff payment, government payments, recruitments etc.

Responsible in assigning server stations and side work to Banquet Servers. Serves as liaison between Banquet Staff, Catering Staff, and Culinary Staff. Responsible for the timely communication to the culinary staff of event attendance, event timing, and event changes as they occur.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries promptly.
• Liaise with event organizer and conduct briefing to banquet staff of the event to ensure smooth running of the events.
• Coordinate promptly with banquet staff and other departments (Catering Sales, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance) in regard to guest’s requests.
• Train and guide new staff to ensure consistency in standards of service delivery and operating procedures in accordance with Club’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain & update par stock for operating supplies e.g. glassware, beverages, mise en place etc. for smooth operations.
• Ensure cleanliness follow SOP standards at banquet-service-station, banquet storeroom and banquet office areas at all times.
• Maintain & ensure working condition for all banquet equipment and report defects (if any) for repair.
• Adheres to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements.
• Liaise with Banquet Executive & Catering Sales Manager in regards of incidents and issues which requires further assistance and/or follow-ups
• Assist in table setting, operating the AV systems etc during event preparation.
• Equip with updated knowledge of the Club’s products and services especially in the area of F&B offerings.
• Assist in guest-contact activities such as serving food and beverage and attending to VIPs.
• Resolve guest complaints/ feedback in a professional manner and follow-up efficiently.
• Supervise and coach/guide casual workers during banquet events.
• Attend on-the-job & refresher training as and when needed.
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

Job requirement

• NITEC qualification in any discipline /GCE ‘O’ Levels.
• Competence in using MS Office
• 2 – 3 years working experience in a conference and banqueting environment.
• Other supervisory roles in F&B environment is acceptable
